Exhibitions and conferences. Do you still go to them? People that work in manufacturing industries are busier than ever these days. So we all have to use our time wisely. And that’s one of the reasons I don’t often attend conferences or exhibitions. They can be a bit hit and miss. And if it’s a ‘miss’, then that’s a day wasted. So I only go to a small handful conferences or exhibitions every year, either as an exhibitor or delegate. However, I attended an event yesterday that was definitely a ‘hit’. I had some really interesting, in-depth and insightful conversations at the Sustainable Food Factory exhibition 2024 #SFFE24 It’s a small conference compared to some, but it very much punched above its weight. I also managed to watch several of the presentations – there's some really clever, innovative and inspiring stuff is going on. So for me, it was an extremely good use of a day. Sustainability is really moving forward in food manufacture. It has to. Thank you to everyone involved in the setting up, running and organisation of the event – you did a brilliant job. And of course thanks to everyone I spoke to or who dropped by the HPS Product Recovery Solutions stand and had a chat.
