A few select updates from our #Japan #Startup Observer LinkedIn group (which you can join here: https://lnkd.in/duNkVwCq) 🔹 Terra Drone Corporation, a leading drone and Advanced Air Mobility #AAM technology provider headquartered in Japan, has become the largest shareholder in ALOFT TECHNOLOGIES, a company focusing on developing UTM, and a market leader in drone fleet and airspace management in the United States (see post below) 🔹 Ubitus K.K., a leading provider of #cloud #gaming technology and solutions, announced that it has received new investment funding from NVIDIA; this announcement underscores the immense potential and accelerating demand for #generativeAI and cloud gaming across Asia and beyond. 🔹 Astroscale signs a loan agreement with MUFG Bank totaling 7 billion yen; this loan will strengthen the financial foundation for future project development, contributing to further business growth and the realization of space sustainability 🔹 SoftRoid, which develops the construction DX "zenshot", raises a total of 220 million yen in pre-series A round, accelerating the development of "zenshot AI", which is a cloud-based service that uses image processing AI to automatically create a 360-degree view of the construction site by simply walking around the construction site with a camera; this funding round was led by UB Ventures, with existing investor Incubate Fund participating, as well as individual investors. 🔹 Blossom Energy raises a total of 350 million yen in pre-Series A funding; Blossom Energy is a deep tech startup company founded in January 2022 that conducts business toward decarbonizing thermal energy with the mission of “greening steam around the world and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 10%.”; participants in the funding round were Incubate Fund, Animal Spirits No. 1 Fund, Tsuneishi Shoji, ReGACY Innovation Group, and Globis Capital Partners 🔹 MPower Partners invests in #Indonesian real estate tech startup Rukita as co-lead investor; the core of the company's business originates from "Kost" (so-called shared houses); the Kost business has revolutionized the annual rental market value of affordable housing targeted at millennials and Gen Z in Indonesia, which is valued at more than US$10 billion; in addition to shared houses, Rukita also offers student dormitories, apartments, and serviced housing
