Learn how researchers at Adaptimmune leveraged Ultivue’s completely customizable OmniVUE™ panels to visualize and quantify the immune response to an engineered TCR T-cell therapy in a clinical trial. This clip highlights data obtained on the adaptive and innate immune response from tissue biopsies post-treatment. For instance, researchers were able to show an increase in the ratio between M1 and M2 macrophages post-infusion, indicating a strong innate anti-tumor response and how the M2/cytotoxic T-cell ratio was markedly different in partial responding and non-responding patient samples. A nationwide cohort study in Taiwan investigated the impact of adjunctive Chinese medicine therapy on non-small cell lung cancer patients. The findings suggested that receiving Chinese medicine alongside conventional treatments, particularly for 181-365 days, reduced the mortality risk among stage IV patients.
