Three letters, three days, thousands of fans, and so much passion that it’s impossible to quantify. After more than a year of planning and many months of hard work (and quite a few days praying for good weather) the #GTIFanfest is underway!   Themed ‘Icons Coming Home’, this special event kicked off at the Volkswagen Arena in #Wolfsburg today, with a packed programme of special cars, special guests and many special experiences.   While all eight #Golf generations have been reunited, visitors can look forward to appearances from the #GTI* versions of nearly all models as well as the GTX versions of the ID. models. We’re also sharing a glimpse of #Volkswagen’s all-electric future, with the ID. GTI concept**. There are also driving experiences, talks, customer cars, food – plus so many valued partners who are a key part of the #GTI story. They, and the community, are at the very heart of this long-awaited festival, shaping the schedule in just the same way that they help to shape the cars we make.   As I stood among the crowd earlier, taking it all in, I felt a real surge of pride. Here's the almighty stage 2, 400bhp VW Golf R. A fierce car turned even more so. With a few tasteful modifications, the ever popular Golf R has been made more personal, more unique, in this case. Modifying cars is an interesting topic, as some frown upon it all together and like factory specification, others agree that performance enhancements are beneficial, while others want to create an entirely new car based off of what they've bought. Why is Red Bull so fast? How much does an F1 car weigh with fuel? The tank of a Formula 1 car has room for about 110 kilograms of fuel. When a car is filled up, the total weight of the car at the start of a race is around 906 kilograms. Weight of an F1 car A Formula 1 car should weigh a minimum of 796 kilograms. This includes driver and dry weather tyres. Fuel is not included in this. Also in 2022, F1 cars weighed 796 kilograms. The FIA wanted to reduce this weight in 2023, but due to the arrival of the new, heavier Pirelli tyres, they are keeping the minimum weight of 796 kilograms in 2023 as well.
