When I was an active member of the Rotaract Club, one of the most exciting aspects for me was always citing the 4-Way Test. The way it resonates with me, both personally and professionally, is remarkable. As I often reflect on it, I find it to be a powerful guide for how we interact with others at home, in the community, or in business. The 4-Way Test of the things we think, do, or say: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Is it beneficial to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Let's focus on the fourth point: Will it build goodwill and better friendships? In every relationship, whether personal or professional, fostering goodwill should be a priority. Goodwill is the foundation of trust and respect, which strengthens bonds and leads to enduring friendships. In business, it builds networks and partnerships that can thrive on mutual understanding. In our communities and homes, it fosters a sense of belonging and support. As we go about our daily activities, let’s ask ourselves—are we building goodwill? Are we cultivating friendships that inspire growth, collaboration, and trust? These are the values that enrich our lives and create lasting impact. Have a beautiful Wednesday😍

Those who know me know that my love for the San Francisco 49ers isn't just a hobby, it's a family legacy! 🏈 This weekend, despite the loss, was another chapter in our tradition of cheering, shouting, and yes, sometimes sighing, alongside our favorite team. Passing down this ritual to my daughter means teaching her about more than just football; it’s about resilience, loyalty, and the art of seeing a game through, no matter the score. At Orange Grove Creative Co., we channel that same die-hard energy into every project. Whether we're facing down a tight deadline or brainstorming a game-changing campaign, we bring the spirit of a fourth-quarter comeback to our work. So, how do you blend passion and tradition into your professional endeavors? Drop a comment below—we might just have more in common than our favorite teams! #49ersFaithful #TeamTraditions #MarketingInnovation #ResilienceInAction #CreativeLeadership #OrangeGroveCreativeCo

“Hard work pays” Hard work is the foundation of achieving success in any field. It is the key to unlocking one's potential and reaching their goals. The phrase "Hard work pays" is a testament to the fact that dedication, perseverance, and effort lead to rewarding outcomes. A great example of this is the story of J.K. Rowling, the renowned author of the Harry Potter series. Before becoming a bestselling author, Rowling was a single mother living on welfare benefits. She wrote much of the first book in local cafes, as she did not have a computer or a quiet place to work at home. Despite facing rejection from twelve publishers, she persisted and continued to write. Her hard work paid off when Bloomsbury agreed to publish the book, and the Harry Potter series went on to become a global phenomenon. Rowling's success is a shining example of how hard work, determination, and passion can lead to achieving one's dreams. In conclusion, hard work is essential for success, and J.K. Rowling's story serves as a reminder that with persistence and dedication, we can overcome obstacles and achieve our goals.

I think the biggest key to success is surrounding yourself with people who inspire you. Last night I was in a room full of people that inspire me every day to be better not only for myself, but for my clients. This past year with New York Life has developed my professionalism in ways I never imagined, and I can’t wait to see what my team and I accomplish in 2024. We’re just getting started ✨🏆 #newyorklife #2024kickoff #financialservices

👉 Want to influence others, make a bigger impact (& more $$), and "click" with those around you? Meaningfully connect by understanding HOW to communicate with others. This past week has been a full one, and I've been reminded DAILY how we all have challenges connecting with those around us. Why? We're busy...caught up in our own worlds...and sometimes (let's be honest here), it's hard enough keeping up with the fast pace of work and life, not to mention the time, effort and energy it takes to meaningfully connect. But, here's the thing. Research tells us the #1 key to happiness is high-quality and in-depth relationships...and the ability to have rich conversations = high-quality relationships. 🔶 Take the time to be intentional in your conversations by understanding the communication style of WHO you're talking to...and I promise, the quality of your relationships will strengthen and you'll feel more connected. **I've got a really cool guide on how to do this 👆 too. Link in comments.** Thank you to Shelly Meador & Whitney Shipp for the opportunity to speak at Stonebriar Country Club this past Tuesday, Jodie Brinkerhoff & Paul Puopolo for the opportunity to work with your incredible team (love these people!), Elliott Roofing...loved working with your team this week!!, Rori Shaw, CAE - cannot WAIT to help TXCPA Dallas, Kate Rose Marquez - soooo excited to chair Pop, Fizz, Clink for Ascend Dallas this year. #communicationtips #executivecoaching #learninganddevelopment

The best part of my job is getting to know the companies we work with. Sometimes when we are REALLY lucky, getting to “know” them involves a Pickleball tournament. If you’ve read my posts, you’ve probably seen me praising Lancaster County. This week we got spend time with Merv King and the team at Beuta. Another Lancaster gem. Getting to work with companies like Beuta is what I love most about my job. They are a talented team with a vision. And they are growing crazy fast! If you like board rooms, bureaucracy, big egos, strong opinions, and slow decision making, then you probably won’t think they are very much. If you like seeing Amish family members working together manufacturing products they believe in. And you like seeing offices with kids art plastered over every inch of wall space. And a tangible excitement about growth and what the future holds. Then like me, you’ll probably think they are totally awesome.

Don't let your team get lost in Wonderland! Ask the Cheshire Cat for directions, just like Alice did: “What way do I go?” asked Alice. “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” says the Cheshire Cat. If Alice was on a business adventure? Her North Star Vision would be that ‘where.’ And she’d get a move on. She’d be visualising that North Star right this second. Why the urgency? In Business-land standing still often means falling behind. This world moves fast, and without a North Star Vision, relevance disappears into thin air! BUT — visualising your North Star can ensure you lead the way. BUT — that’s not all. It’s a wonderful rabbit hole that contains a universe of possibilities. Setting your North Star Vision sparks a chain reaction. → Conversations ignite… → Connections form… → and Actions align. It’s like magic madness — your vision coming to life through collaboration and innovation. ↓ Set that North Star Vision of yours — and transform from lost in Wonderland… to confidently navigate the future.
