Each year, #ItalianManufacturers produce roughly 14 million tonnes of poultry and livestock feed. The Italian association of #FeedProducers, #Assalzoo, comprises approximately 100 companies representing 80% of feed production in the country. They sought help from dss+ to develop effective tools to engage with their #KeyStakeholders to demonstrate their commitment to the #environment, #circularity and #CarbonEmissions reductions. Excited to announce that our timely analysis, conducted with a fantastic team including Thomas Bittmann & David L. Ortega, on the impact of the US #HPAIoutbreak on livestock price premiums is now available online. Our findings have implications for business owners and policymakers. Specifically, our study shows that; ·  Egg prices were more significantly affected than those of broilers and turkeys. ·  The #HPAIoutbreak resulted in a narrowing of the price gap between conventional and premium products including #organicproducts. ·  Increased #publicawareness of the outbreak contributed to reducing the price gap between conventional and premium products. Globally, about 80% of cattle suffer from tick infestations, resulting in significant challenges for their health and productivity. Tick-borne illnesses pose a considerable burden in Sub-Saharan Africa, resulting in substantial economic losses within the livestock industry. Dr.Benson Ngari at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), discusses our initiative focused on researching Tickborne Hemoparasites in Nandi County. Our goal is to decrease calf deaths caused by these diseases, ultimately enhancing productivity in the region.
