This is what the CVP (customer value proposition) is about. What job can be done by your product/service/solution that others cannot? So no, marketing is not a bad word !!! 👉Do my customer has a rock in his shoe? 👉How much does it hurt? 👉Can I help him get rid of it and am I the only one to be able to do so? 👉What is needed for me to convince him? 👉How much is he ready to pay for this? Protecting consumers and guiding authorities and industries. Discover ConsExpo, the global standard for consumer exposure assessment to chemical substances. ConsExpo Web is a software tool designed to estimate and assess exposure to chemicals in consumer products such as paint, cleaning agents, and personal care items. Governments, institutions, and industries worldwide use ConsExpo Web for this purpose. It supports safety assessments for, amongst other things, industrial chemicals (REACH), biocides, and cosmetics. 🌍 Meaningful work Wouter ter Burg is leading the scientific and software developments within the ConsExpo project. ‘I am proud to work with a team of experts in exposure science from RIVM and other institutes. Together, we engage in meaningful and essential work on consumer product safety. Our expertise allows us to contribute to several (inter)national initiatives in exposure science, such as the International Society of Exposure Science community. Stressing the importance of exposure assessments in the risk assessment arena is an important mission.’ ⚠️ Consumer Exposure ‘ConsExpo was developed in the 1990s by request of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (Ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport) and the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (Nederlandse Voedsel en Warenautoriteit - NVWA). There was a strong desire to have a harmonised and standardised approach to assess the exposure of consumers using consumer products. Consumer exposure is not something regulators control once a product has been put onto the market. Moreover, measuring exposure in a target population is very difficult. Therefore, it was a necessary to calculate consumer exposure using models.’ ⚙️ Future-proof developments ‘Since 2015, the institutes from Germany - Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung, France - French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES), Switzerland – Federal Office of Public Health FOPH, and Canada – Health Canada | Santé Canada have collaborated in the ConsExpo project by funding it financially and by in-kind contributions. The Do-It-Yourself products Fact Sheet was the first fact sheet developed by one of our partners, i.e. the German BfR, which is an example of our partners’ commitment to this work. We're planning future-proof developments to keep up with changes in software and consumer products.
