Janmashtami, also known as Krishna Janmashtami or Gokulashtami, is one of the most revered festivals amongst Hindus. The day marks the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is celebrated with great fervour and zeal amongst different parts of India. Lord Krishna took birth in a cellular jail in Dwapar Yug biologically to Vasudeva and Devaki. But Vasudeva had to cross the Yamuna River in a stormy night to pass on his child to a friend so save the child from the evil hands of Kansa. So, technically, Maiya Yashodha and Nanda of Gokul region of Mathura were the foster parents of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna stated that whenever there will be prominence of evil deeds in this universe, he will reincarnate in various looks and attire to show the path of right and peace to people. The sole reason of celebrating this festival is bringing people together so that principles of unity strengthens. Dahi Handi is another important aspect of this festival that is observed in the second day of Janmashtami. An earthen pot or handi is filled with butter, clarified butter or ghee, dry fruits and milk is suspended at a considerable height with help of ropes. All the local young guys gather to make a human pyramid and climb on each other to reach the handi and break it. This is an activity that teaches the team work principles. Devotees observe a strict fast on Janmashtami, abstaining from grains and certain foods. The fast is broken only after midnight, following the ritual of worshipping the baby Krishna, who is cradled in a beautifully decorated swing. Devotees sing bhajans (devotional songs), recite slokas and perform aarti to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna. May the flute of Lord Krishna fill your heart with the music of happiness. Happy Janmashtami 😊

Ganesh Visarjan marks the conclusion of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, a significant celebration for Indian citizens, especially in Maharashtra and other parts of the country. On this day, devotees immerse the idol of Lord Ganesha in water, symbolizing his return to his celestial abode after staying with his devotees. It typically occurs on Anant Chaturdashi, the 10th day of the festival, though some choose to perform Visarjan earlier. Key Aspects: Spiritual Significance: The immersion symbolizes the cycle of creation and dissolution in Hindu philosophy, reminding devotees of the impermanence of life. Community and Unity: Ganesh Visarjan is marked by grand processions with chants, music, and dance, fostering a sense of unity and devotion among participants. Environmental Awareness: In recent years, there has been a growing focus on eco-friendly idols and sustainable immersion practices to minimize the environmental impact. For Indian citizens, Ganesh Visarjan is both a religious and cultural event, celebrated with devotion, joy, and increasing responsibility towards nature.

Ayudha Puja, is a Hindu festival traditionally observed in southern India, especially in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. It forms part of the Navaratri festival and is celebrated on the ninth day of Navaratri, also known as Maha Navami. The word "Ayudha" means tools or instruments, and "Puja" means worship, so Ayudha Puja is a ritual of worshiping tools, weapons, and instruments that people use in their daily work. Significance: The festival symbolizes respect for the instruments or tools that help in earning a livelihood. People clean and decorate their tools, vehicles, machinery, and equipment, offering them to the divine for blessings. Traditionally, weapons were worshiped by warriors, and today professionals, students, and workers of all kinds worship their respective tools. Customs: Cleaning and Decoration: Tools and machines are cleaned, polished, and decorated with flowers, turmeric, and vermillion. Special Pooja: An altar is set up with images or idols of gods and goddesses like Saraswati (goddess of knowledge), Durga (goddess of power), and Lakshmi (goddess of wealth). People place their tools in front of the deities for blessings. Vehicle Pooja: For many, vehicles are considered tools, so they are washed, adorned with garlands, and worshiped. This is particularly common for businesses and transport workers. Books and Instruments: Students and professionals such as musicians also worship books, musical instruments, or other tools relevant to their work. Breaking of Coconut: A common ritual involves breaking a coconut in front of the tools or vehicle, signifying the start of new beginnings. Ayudha Puja highlights the idea of reverence and respect toward the materials that support people's lives and careers. It is a time for gratitude, prosperity, and renewal in the workplace or in any field of activity.

Om Gan Ganpataye Namah! Every year, the excitement for Ganpati fills my heart—the vibrant sounds of dhol-tasha, the colorful decorations, the scent of incense, and the sweetness of modaks. But this year, with my son and partner recovering, Bappa's presence feels even more profound, offering healing and comfort. As we welcome Ganpati into our homes, here are 7 lessons we can learn from him: 1. Listening: Ganesha’s large ears remind us of the power of deep listening. Whether it's listening to our breath in meditation, the rhythm of music, or the sacred aarti, mindful listening brings wisdom and peace. 2. Patience: Preparations for the festival remind us that good things take time. Ganesha’s story shows that patience and persistence lead to overcoming obstacles and finding success. 3. Compassion: Festivals unite people through warmth and kindness. Like Bappa, we should practice empathy and help those in need, sharing joy and care with everyone. 4. Love: Ganesh Chaturthi celebrates unity and love, bringing together families and communities. Ganesha teaches that love can overcome challenges, deepening our bonds with others and the divine. 5. Discipline: The rituals and traditions of Ganpati teach the importance of discipline and order. Like the universe follows its principles, our lives become balanced through discipline. 6. Faith: The festival reinforces our faith in Ganesha to remove obstacles. With unwavering belief, we can find hope and solutions even in difficult times. 7. Actions: Ganpati reminds us that action is essential. We create positive change in the world by serving others and engaging in the festival. As we bring Bappa into our homes, let these teachings guide us in creating a lasting impact. Ganpati Bappa Morya! #ganeshchaturthi #positivevibes #bappa #faith #patience #discipline #love #compassion

In a festive occasion, where-in wished all irrespective of religion, caste, creed, clan etc, but unfortunately what was experienced, that how politics has eaten into our self belief & faith that people has succumbed to a false narrative to certain categories of people's whims & fancies in our society. Friends turned foes. Firy situation within a family. Relatives turned enemies. What a ridiculous thought. Unimaginable, this can happen to literate & educated class to a level, where-in a person has the liberty to use self sensibility. It is very surprising to see the sense of sensibility is so sensuous to such inciting false narrative induced again by same category as mentioned above, that we all forget our festivities & festivals and drown ourselves deep to false thoughts. The days today are being controlled by certain categories of people, that we divide/ separate ourselves from our own relationships. It is ridiculous to see learned people has also entered into the fray & frame of such misleading thought process, facts & figures. Today the practice to drown the culture, festivals, festivities, our thought & its process at the cost of lust for power is the motto. Now-a-days we all enter their cluthes and set aside all our own things, whether our feelings ,faith etc., Where are we moving? Why are we all getting bogged down to the unreasonable, unrealistic thought process of these men & women. Where are we taking ourselves from our culture. It is like not being shameless since others are also alike. The almighty knows where are we heading. Let us try and live with our culture, belief, faith and not be carried away or swayed away from our ancient creation by a section of peoplein the society. Let us not allow those people who are only living in this world to influence human being with falsification. Hope all to be well in health, as self & with family. Subhecha O Namaskaram 🌹🙂🙏

“Dasara: A Celebration of Cultural Heritage, Unity, and Personal Transformation” 1. Victory of Good Over Evil Dasara symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, as seen in the stories of Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and Goddess Durga’s defeat of Mahishasura. This message serves as a reminder for us to overcome negativity in our lives, such as dishonesty, anger, and jealousy, and strive to cultivate virtues like compassion, integrity, and kindness. 2. Inner Reflection and Growth Dasara is a time for introspection. Encourage people to reflect on their own lives, to identify any destructive habits or negative thoughts that may be holding them back. This can be a period to set goals for personal growth, self-discipline, and mental clarity. 3. Strengthening Community Bonds Festivals like Dasara are also about unity and togetherness. Highlight the importance of supporting one another and building a sense of community. Encouraging small acts of kindness and mutual respect can go a long way in fostering a supportive environment. 4. Celebrating Cultural Heritage Dasara is a celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage. Encourage people to take pride in the traditions, customs, and values associated with the festival. Participating in cultural events and sharing stories with the younger generation helps preserve and pass on these traditions. 5. Commitment to Positive Change As Dasara represents renewal and new beginnings, it can be a perfect occasion to commit to positive changes in our lives. Whether it’s adopting a healthier lifestyle, being more mindful of our environmental impact, or simply making an effort to be a better version of ourselves, small changes can make a big difference. By reflecting on these messages, society can honor the spirit of Dasara in a way that goes beyond the festivities and has a lasting positive impact.

Hey everyone, As you can see in the attached video, it captures the "orchestra" performance from the last day of the Maa Kali Mandir Utsav celebration. This video shows girls dancing to Bhojpuri songs on an occasion meant for devotion to Maa Kali. What does this mean? Jaha bhakti ka mahol hona chahiye, waha par negativity failayi ja rahi hai.(Where there should be an atmosphere of devotion, negativity is being spread.) In my opinion, this orchestra should be discontinued in favor of more meaningful activities that spread a positive message. Let’s promote the true essence of our Hindu Vedic culture rather than hosting such performances. As we see in the video, the crowd drawn to this orchestra is much larger than on other days. Orchestra ka matlab hai stage performance jisme Bhojpuri gaane par ladkiyan dance karti hain, aur unka cloths chhota, full cloths ya little bit transparency ho sakta hai. (Orchestra here means a stage performance where girls dance to Bhojpuri songs, sometimes wearing short, full, or slightly transparent clothing.) 👉 Click below link for the full article and details (https://lnkd.in/d6wJePHb) #MaaKaliUtsav #CulturalAwareness #PositiveChange #CommunityImpact #FestivalsOfIndia #HinduCulture #VedicTraditions #CulturalPreservation #SpreadingPositivity #BhojpuriCulture #IndianFestivals #TraditionOverTrends #PromoteDevotion #FestivalsAndFaith
