🌐 Launch of the 5G-DiGITs Alliance Project! 🚀   🌍This is a forward-thinking initiative to bridge the skills gap and prepare Europe’s workforce for the 5G era   We are excited to announce the official launch of the 5G-DiGITs Alliance, a project funded by the Erasmus+ program to close the skills gap in the 5G era. Coordinated by Envolve (Greece), this initiative brings together 12 partners from 8 European countries: Spain, Greece, Belgium, Ireland, Sweden, Malta, Lithuania, and Germany.   📅 Duration: 36 months (Start: November 1, 2024) 💶 Total budget: €1,396,335 🇪🇺 Financed by Erasmus + programme   The 5G-DiGITs Alliance aims to: ✅ Equip the workforce with digital, green, and entrepreneurial skills for the 5G era. ✅ Foster collaboration between academia, research, and industry. ✅ Promote sustainable innovation and accessibility to advanced technologies. ✅Cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets to inspire innovative solutions for real-world challenges.   On November 21st, partners we held our kick-off meeting, marking the beginning of this exciting journey toward a more connected and sustainable future. 🌱💻   🤝Apart from the leader entity Envolve Entrepreneurship (GR), the consortium will gather INFOLYSiS,  the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and CNC Solutions Co - Greece (GR), A8 (MT), F6S IE (IE), FINNOVA FOUNDATION (BE), Inercia Digital and Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) (ES), Karlstad University (SE), Technische Universität Chemnitz (DE) and Techin (LT).   🚀Together, we are building the path to Europe’s digital and green transformation!   #5G #DigitalTransformation #ErasmusPlus #Innovation #Sustainability

All partners need to have a Participation Identification Code (PIC number) to submit an application. No funding available for this call in Greece, Israel, South Korea, Switzerland, and the UK. Funding results will be communicated by the end of June 2025. The interview round for the EIC Accelerator funding programme October 2024 cut-off date was completed last week in Brussels with the biggest number of applicants and jury panels ever. No less than 432 amazing projects with break-through innovations competed before 24 panels for grant (up to 2,5 mio €) and equity (up to 15 mio €) contributions from the EIC.  It was again an inspiring and intense week in Brussels. Thank you to my co-jury members Radmila Fileva, Jesus Zurdo and David Lembo for great discussions and the ability to find consensus on the projects to be funded by the EIC. Thank you Justyna Tisserand for your great assistance. The EIC Accelerator funding programme is part of the European Innovation Council (EIC), which aims to identify and support breakthrough technologies and game changing innovations to create new markets and scale up internationally. Remember that the next cut-off date for the EIC Accelerator 2025 program is 12 March 2025. In 2025, the overall budget for the EIC Accelerator Open is €384 million and for projects that match any of the pre-defined topics of the EIC Accelerator Challenges there is an additional budget of €250 million. #eic #eicaccelerator #eismea #EuropeanCommission

🌟 12 student teams from universities across the Valencian Community brought innovative solutions to real-world challenges at the 4th edition of #TheChallenge. This hackathon was powered by Startup Valencia and supported by the City of Arts and Sciences, the Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Tourism, and Trade from the Generalitat Valenciana, València Innovation Capital, and VDS 💪 🏆 The selected students of this edition took on challenges presented by renowned companies such as HP, Elewit, Naturgy, and MAPFRE. On October 24, during the Awards Ceremony at the 7th edition of VDS, Team Naturgy: 'Sparksafe' was announced as the winning project.
