How can chemical consumption be reduced in the oil and gas industry? At Mouritsen A/S, we have participated as a partner in the SCAVOP project together with Crossbridge Energy, TotalEnergies Denmark, Aalborg University and Ramboll Denmark. A project that aims to optimise the use of scavenger chemicals to ensure both economic and environmental benefits. Using advanced simulation models and a new pilot plant, the project results indicate that optimised processes and injection methods can halve the amount of MEA Triazine used in the H2S scavenger process - a game changer for both cost and sustainability in the industry. Important Carbon Pricing Update for the RNG Industry and EPS Facilities in Ontario! Effective for the current reporting year (2023 emissions), regulated facilities will now be able to exclude CO2 from RNG from their total facility emissions. This is not restricted to RNG combusted at the Facility but includes any RNG purchased and used within the Ontario! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team at SCV Consulting to discover how this change may impact your company. See below slide from this mornings EPS webinar with a brief summary: #OntarioEmissions #Sustainability #GHGReporting #OntarioManufacturing #CME #AWMA #RNG #Biogas

#SPENL Monthly Meeting: Monday 8th April. Reducing emissions in Petrogas E&P by Folkert Kaman. The lecture will address the challenges Petrogas E&P faced during the recent decade in the strive to reduce emissions to air (NOx and methane) and the current challenges it faces to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations. Petrogas’ experience will show that these emission reduction projects, even on its mature assets can be economical. The emission reduction solutions that were implemented will be shared together with the lessons that were learned. The findings from a recently executed electrification study of the Petrogas A12 compression facility will be shared and our current plans to meet the demands of our society, through efficiency improvement, methane emission reduction and carbon storage. Location: Carlton Ambassador Hotel, Den Haag. The meeting will start at 18:00 with drinks and the Lecture will start at 19:00. Please register before 12:00 (noon) on Friday 5th April. After this, registration is limited due to dinner orders at the venue. To register please follow the link below: https://lnkd.in/grjA7F2 #WeAreSPE #EmissionReduction

Bunker completed: fuel successfully transferred. But, ...how close were you to failure? This is the question I am addressing in the paper, Science Direct has recently published: “Bunkering Reliability Index for LNG bunkering operations considering uncertainty” We have defined the Bunkering Reliability Index, BURI to assess beforehand how likely is my bunkering operation to be completed successfully. And subsequently, how close was I to failure, which operation is more reliable among different ground configurations, or what‘s more, how can I improve the reliability of my bunkering operation. Get free access to BURI calculation here: Newbunker II: https://lnkd.in/d3vae2Fw Newbunker I: https://lnkd.in/d8uXqSwS NEWBunker has been developed in collaboration with Gasnam-Neutral Transport, Siport21, ESK Gas Logistics, Naturgy, Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), ITE, TESICNOR Especial thanks to my colleagues: Sebastian Martorell, Ana Isabel Sánchez, Isabel Marton.
