Over the past several years I often attend the All Things Open Conference back in my home state of North Carolina. Fascinating workshops and sessions there and great networking opportunities. Always fun to attend. This year, though, I’m headed to Calgary, Canada, to attend the ASIS&T Annual Meeting. This conference brings together folks from all over the world to discuss, share and learn in the fields of information science, library science, knowledge management, technology and related domains. As I’m planning my sessions, some of my goals focus on knowledge management, asset management (physical and digital), and how AR/VR can be utilized in libraries more. Of course, so many in our fields are discussing AI opportunities and challenges.
