The key to advancing the circular economy lies in the power of human connections 💫 In my impulse keynote at CIRCULAZE by CURAZE Summit in Munich, I talked about the too often forgotten ingredients to create a circular system: people, and people. So what do I bring home from the conference, on top of innovative start-up awards and pitches and insightful case studies? People's stories. Vojtech Vosecky kicked off the summit by sharing his personal journey to discovering the circular economy, and the potential that lies within it. Nina Fechler reminded us of the importance of collaboration and how a toolbox approach can create business alignment and empowerment. Marina Schmidt 🍎🍏 made us all reflect on the stories we tell to customers, and how we need to shift from a doom narrative to one of hope, empowerment, and positivity. For me, a powerful moment was unexpectedly meeting Anna Balez from Lizee in person after years of digital interactions. Connecting not only over a shared vision for a circular future but also over common personal experiences and perspectives. 🥰 Another highlight of the human side within circularity was witnessing how easily Vojtech's suit mishap transformed into an example of the sharing and caring economy we advocate for, as Frederik Verstraete, CEO of Earth Plus lent him his jacket. 💫 Big big kudos to Natascha Zeljko, Claus Schuster, and the entire team for organizing and pulling off this inspiring event, and thanks again to Laurent-Frederic Lohmann for the energetic and fun moderation.
