Factory-X lighthouse project at the Hannover Messe Eleven use cases from industrial practice, especially in the application area of factory equipment suppliers and operators, are the focus of our brand new Factory-X research project, which was launched in February and is funded by the BMWK. Visit the Plattform Industrie 4.0 stand (Hall 8, D26) and find out more about this exciting joint project, in which 47 partners are designing and prototyping various business applications with common and/or complementary basic functionalities. The basic condition: Interoperability and openness. The aim is to present sample implementations for various business applications that show that tasks can be optimized in the application case and can serve as the basis for a general industry standard. Factory-X, as a lighthouse project within the Manufacturing-X project family, explicitly addresses mechanical and plant engineering, an industry of great importance to the German economy. It is about a data space for sovereign participation in future-oriented technology for data sharing and collaborative data use.
