I align with this passage from the book - When to Jump by Mike Lewis. “It’s impossible to remove all the uncertainties. Plan as if you’re climbing a ladder, plan the rungs on the ladder, set up a few concrete milestones and events, but leave out planning the rest - embrace the space between the rungs”. Embracing uncertainty is something we’ve had to learn throughout our Executive MBA at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). We are constantly put into situations that are unfamiliar and that challenge us to embrace the uncertainty whilst making decisions. The whole EMBA experience has elevated our thinking, improved our confidence and made us see we can do hard things. It’s been quite transformative. We are about to be thrown into yet another challenge as we head over to MIT Sloan School of Management to engage in a 2 week entrepreneurial immersion program. The experience culminates in our teams pitching a business case in front of potential investors. Exciting and terrifying all at the same time. My team Melissa Hallam GAICD, Leila Cuttle and I have chosen a project focused on creating social impact. I’m beyond excited to have my mind blown and to see what impact we can make when we bring this knowledge back to our current careers.

Today, I have the honour, on behalf of INSEAD Alumni Association Brazil - IAAB, of hosting a cocktail reception for Francisco Veloso, Dean of INSEAD, during his first visit to Brazil. We will welcome a select group of forty #INSEADalumni to celebrate the 12th #GlobalINSEADDay (marking the anniversary of the opening ceremony of INSEAD's first MBA class at the Château de Fontainebleau, seen in the background of the photo).
