Whether you're advocating for yourself or others, speaking up can challenge injustices and inspire positive change. Silence may feel safe, but it can also perpetuate issues that need addressing. Overcome the fear, gather your courage, and let your voice be heard. Every word you say can contribute to a brighter, more equitable world. Raise your voice and be the catalyst for change. _________________ Integrative Psychological Professional Service, PLLC is an online therapy practice dedicated to creating a safe space for the mental health and wellness of professional minorities, particularly persons of color. #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthquote #mentalhealth

This couldn't be more true. This is the difference between perception and perspective. Our narrow focus and reliance on our intellectual prowess has led us all to the point where modern medicine and mental health interventions are reluctant, and at times, actively refuse to consider environmental and sociocultural elements as a potential cause of mental or physical distress. We are so plugged into our perception of things that we don't see, or choose to ignore, the lived experiences of others. #dropthedisorder #PerceptionVsPerspective #IntellectualBlindspots #BiomedicalBias #HolisticHealth #SocioculturalContext #LivedExperiences #HealthcareInequity #MentalHealthAwareness #EnvironmentalInfluence #InclusiveMedicine

Mental Health Awareness Month Spotlight 🌟 Throughout generations, due to systemic racism, repeated racial trauma and harms done to Black, Brown, and other communities of color in the United States have had lasting effects. As a result, these communities often have poorer physical, mental, and economic conditions compared to the average white American community. For Mental Health Awareness Month, BHPN would like to uplift our REPAIR framework which highlights the importance of implementing community-led racial healing models, which are essential to the work of racial healing. Explore the framework to learn about the role institutions can play in reconciling harms and pursuing deeper solidarity toward racial healing. https://lnkd.in/gwxqVRfP #RacialHealing #Solidarity #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #MentalHealing #RacialHealingModels #RacialTrauma
