What could be the main and measurable outputs from the application of the idea? ● Feasibility > can your idea be exploited using existing technologies? What is the service/product Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3? Despite significant investments and new initiatives, a recently released report, "Perspectives on Excellence Initiatives", reveals that Sweden - where I live - has not achieved the desired boost in global impact. 🔍 Key Findings from the Report: - Major political support and resource allocation have driven innovation and change in Swedish universities. - However, unlike comparable countries (Denmark, France - my home country - or Germany), Sweden's research has not strengthened its international influence. - Lessons from these initiatives highlight the need for a more consistent, long-term policy framework. 🗨️ Anders Broström, CEO of the Entreprenörskapsforum, emphasizes: "We need research policy grounded in robust evaluations and designed for long-term institutional autonomy and academic freedom. Last Friday, I had the privilege of participating in the ISPSO Symposium in Sofia. It was an enriching experience, filled with engaging presentations and valuable conversations. Dr. Stanley Gold`s keynote was particularly thought-provoking. Building on Freud's "Civilisation and its Discontents," he explored the balance between individual freedoms and societal demands. He emphasised that organisations must embrace reality's complex, multi-dimensional nature and be open to transformation. Key Takeaways: - Understanding conflicts within organisations. - Risks of sterility in organisations avoiding change and innovation. - Continuous scrutiny and adaptation to maintain organisational vitality. I also attended a compelling paper session titled "Tension in Groups: The Developmental Conflict in Groups," presented by Conrad S Chrzanowski and moderated by Sarah Wynick. This session delved into Wilfred Bion's ideas on group dynamics.
