Last week 330 participants representing 76 countries met in Asia for the first Global Senders Forum! National Baptist leaders, heads of conventions, seminary presidents and agency directors joined IMB missionaries and national partners to discuss the growth of their unity in fulfilling the Great Commission. “This meeting is a historical first for us. Never in our 179-year history have we convened a meeting of leaders representing more than one-third of the countries on the planet to impact lostness together.” — Paul Chitwood, President of IMB Many of the visiting Baptists can trace their Christian roots to the missionary efforts of Southern Baptists. Today they are owning the strategies for not only reaching their own people groups but sending missionaries to other nations. The event ended with a time of commitment. 59 organizations submitted written commitments, with some having specific resolutions to send more missionaries. One collective result was a commitment of 1,056 new missionaries over the next 10 years. 🔗 Read more about the Global Senders Forum at: imb.world/4493ZjB.

The Jewish experience is reflected in the two arks which accompanied the Jewish people on their journey in the desert - a wooden ark with the fragments of the first tablets and a golden ark with the complete second tablets. The various arks, according to Rabbi Dr. Kenneth Brander, President and Rosh HaYeshiva of Ohr Torah Stone, represent both the sense of permanence that we yearn for and wish to achieve in our private domain and the importance of engaging our tradition with society and bringing our values into the public sphere. Where it all began... Hands & Feet Project was imagined by Christian rock band, Audio Adrenaline in September of 2003. They wanted to use their platform for something big. Inspired by their song "Hands & Feet", Hands and Feet Project began as a children's village in 2004 near Jacmel, Haiti but has now grown to serve multiple regions within the country. Our mission is to be the hands and feet of Christ fighting for the cause of vulnerable children, their families, and their communities. The foundation of our organization is based on these 4 core values. 🤎 Love: Love and support each other within our Hands & Feet Project community with genuine humility, depth, and purpose. Philippians 2:3-4 🤎 Honesty: Live a life that is grounded in truth, transparency, and authenticity to God, to each other, and to ourselves. Ephesians 4:15 🤎 Obedience: Remain obedient and steadfast in the work each of us is called to with courage, determination, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Hebrews 13:20-21 & Colossians 3:23 🤎 Responsibility: Be responsible and conscientious stewards of all the resources entrusted to us. Value and show regard for each other's time, talent, treasure, and testimony. 1 Peter 4:10 Get involved by tapping on the link below. https://lnkd.in/gbKwwP7Y

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗪𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 The mission of God to love, reconcile, and transform people of all nations is too big and too important for us to engage without partnership. At Multiply, we believe in partnering with nationals as they lead the local expression of the Church. We seek to honor what God is already doing through local believers and to support them and their vision for reaching lost people in their nations. As we develop relationships with local leaders and churches, we are often invited to partner with them through prayer, giving, and serving alongside them. Potential partnerships emerge when there is alignment on mission strategy and shared values. We believe that nationals are best suited to serve churches in their context and to sustain movements that will last long after foreigners are gone. Local believers know their language, culture, and context, and have the practical advantage of being able to gain access to remote (and unreached) areas. Additionally, as many nations restrict access to foreigners, it is not surprising that Multiply’s primary mission strategy in regions like South Asia, North Africa and the Middle East has become to encourage and support the faithful work of national partners. For any of these partnerships to work, our posture needs to be that of a servant and encourager, not a director or owner. This posture was best modeled by Jesus who took on the very nature of a servant, loved his disciples well, and encouraged them to join God’s mission in the world. We are thankful that the Good News of Jesus is spreading like never before and that there is opportunity to serve the vision of local believers in so many nations. As we strive for mutuality in partnerships, we realize that humility and patience are essential. And by the grace of God, those healthy partnerships produce strong disciples, churches, and leaders, unto the glory of God and the revealing of his kingdom on earth.
