A TNO delegation travelled through South Korea and Japan to showcase R&D knowledge and strengthen ties with (potential) partners in areas such as Smart Cities, Smart & Sustainable Mobility, and Chip Technology. CEO Tjark Tjin-A-Tsoi emphasises the need to boost innovation in the Netherlands with inspiration from our Asian-Pacific partners advocating for long-term, focused investments in key tech sectors.   Tjark Tjin-A-Tsoi delivered the keynote speech on invitation of the Korean Ministry of Land Infrastructure & Transport. We expanded our activities in the region due to significant investments in technological developments. Together with Professor Takehiko Nagumo, Director of the Smart City Institute Japan, we signed a MoU for cooperation in ‘Sustainable Wellbeing.’ The institute develops indicators, including social cohesion, to make sustainable wellbeing measurable.   Our #StreetWise and #UrbanStrategy technologies drew significant interest, presenting major collaboration opportunities. Eurovision on the Dark Web?! 🎙 🎵 🧐 Last night's Eurovision not only dominated our news feeds - but whether surprising or not, it also caught the attention of dark web users! With all the buzz surrounding the contest this year and the public backlash, I was curious to see what topics were trending on hidden platforms. It turns out, the chatter was intense! But *Spoiler alert: The Swiss Eurovision winner did not win much attention on the dark web* So what did I find? 1. Israel's Eurovision entry hit waves across the deep and dark web, accounting for over a quarter of all Eurovision-related discussions. 2. The expulsion of the Dutch representative, Joost Klein, grabbed 10 percent of the conversation. 3. Only 5 percent of the buzz centered on Croatia's representative, Baby Lasagna, missing out on the expected win. 4. But the winner, Switzerland's Nemo? About 3 (!!!) percent of dark web users showed interest in their triumph… #Eurovision #Eurovision2024 #DarkWeb
