Innovation comes in many forms 💻 We don't just "DO" DT, we focus on being innovative and keeping our eye on the horizon, what ever that may look like. Its fair to say that AI definitely fits in that bracket! We recently held an "open to all" schools AI training event in both Swindon and Gloucester, which was amazing to see so many teachers taking their CPD seriously and spending an evening learning about the potential of responsible AI use.

The arrival of AI presents a golden opportunity to shake up education. Instead of clinging to outdated methods, we can leverage AI to free us from rote tasks and refocus on what makes us human - collaboration, exploration, and a love of learning. This doesn't mean throwing everything out. The best new approaches will build on real-world experiences, address misconceptions in engaging ways, and celebrate the social aspects of knowledge creation. These ideas can be applied everywhere, from intimate seminars to large lectures, and across all disciplines. AI isn't a threat to education, it's a chance to create a more dynamic and intellectually stimulating world for everyone. #AI #education

Transforming education through AI! Yesterday, I worked with 48 forward-thinking teachers at a large, Ofsted Outstanding school in Ealing. We explored why AI is such a hot topic, got hands-on with the latest generative AI tools, and discussed the future of education. With Bloom's two-sigma problem as a starting point, we looked at AI's potential to personalise learning and achieve higher levels of student attainment. Great to see such enthusiasm to leverage AI for our students. Exciting times ahead! #EdTech #AIinEducation #TeacherTraining #YourTomorrow

It's always a pleasure to join the team at Sky News. Today we were talking about 'teacherless' classrooms, with AI at the helm. My brief thoughts that I shared: - There are 3 'coaches' in the room, at least one is a trained teacher - A school trying something new should always be encouraged (we need innovation). - In this particular case, it's using AI to do what we already do (they are hoping it will do it better), we should be looking at non-linear innovation, how do we recreate what we do? - The human versus AI teacher is a false dichotomy! Why not both? Why not together? - Students are already learning with AI

Thrilled to see the gathering of over 250 educators, students, and technologists at Stanford for the second year of the AI+Education Summit. As we delve into the transformative potential of AI in education, it’s imperative we approach this frontier with a commitment to ethical, equitable, and safe practices. At WisdomEDU, we recognize the power of AI to revolutionize teaching and learning. From WisdomK12 for K-12 education to WisdomU for higher education, our mission aligns with today’s summit theme: leveraging AI to enhance educational outcomes while ensuring inclusivity and safeguarding data privacy. Building AI tools that serve every student means prioritizing accessibility from the outset. By embedding ethical considerations into the development process, we can create AI solutions that not only adapt to diverse learning styles but also respect the cultural and socio-economic backgrounds of our learners. Moreover, safeguarding privacy and security in AI-driven platforms is non-negotiable. As educators and technologists, we must advocate for and adhere to stringent data protection standards, ensuring that student information remains confidential and secure. As I explore in my book, “From the Chalkboard to ChatGPT - Harnessing the Power of AI in the Classroom,” the journey from traditional to AI-enhanced education is filled with opportunities and challenges. By fostering collaboration across sectors, we can navigate these challenges, ensuring AI in education is built on a foundation of trust, integrity, and equity. Let’s continue this vital conversation and work together to shape an AI-powered educational future that is ethical, equitable, and beneficial for all learners. #AIEducationSummit #EducationInnovation #EthicalAI #WisdomEDU

"From Khan’s positive perspective, he foresees that in the near future, AI will enable life-long learning by putting education access in the hands of anyone who wants to learn any topic. Students and educators will both use AI assistants that can educate and inform them on any topic at the required level of depth, and explain in a way that is most easily understood for each individual learner."
