ClimateView is on the way to #Aalborg2024 🇩🇰 The European Conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns 2024 is once again heading to Aalborg, its city of origin, for its 10th Anniversary. Reach out to Dorothea Strüber, (Regional Director, USA, ClimateView), who will be there from the 1st to the 3rd of October and is looking forward to connecting and sharing insights about data-informed decisions and the path to net-zero. 🌐

And so we were pleased to see our member, Journeys With Purpose, win the Creativity Award at the 2024 PURE Life Experiences Awards, for its Daughters for Earth initiative. Daughters for Earth is a fund and movement that supports women-led environmental projects, empowering them to protect and restore our planet. From funding critical conservation work to raising global awareness of women's role in climate solutions, and grounded in scientific research by One Earth, the project focuses on three key areas to combat climate change: • Protecting and restoring lands, waters, and wildlife populations. • Promoting regenerative agriculture. • Advancing renewable energy solutions. 🔥 Rome was hot, both in temperature and action! Thanks to The Climate Reality Project, whose journey began with 50 advocates gathering at Vice President Gore's barn in 2006. Two decades later, this 50 has grown to a global network across sectors and continents. It was a privilege to meet such a diverse range of individuals, from politicians to non-profit leaders to city-level governance and to connect with those in communications, ESG, data, and social responsibility. Each organisation I encountered shares our vision at illuminem (and vice versa), making the potential for collaboration within this network limitless. This interconnectedness stems from a shared goal of creating a sustainable future, a world that exists rather than doesn't. Naturally, some solutions or changes will not succeed and should not succeed, but we only learn and develop by trying, right? What has become apparent is that the sustainability network and its solutions are not hierarchical, linear, or conventionally structured; they're not top-down or bottom-up. There is no one solution to fix all. Instead, each point in the network can be connected to any other--in equality, inclusivity, and democracy. Imposing our learned rules and models to manage this exponentially growing and developing network is impossible—that would be like pushing a square through a round hole. So, it's exciting to see this organism mutating and evolving toward an overarching systemic change, with these conferences working as accelerators for action. The reality of climate change is devastating, and human lives are being lost as we speak. However, the networks we create to share knowledge and safeguard life will become vital in the following decades, hopefully even centuries. Let's continue to work together with hope and determination. Shout out to some of those our team had the privilege to meet and conference with.
