We breakdown the key points from Labour's highly anticipated Employment Rights Bill 2024. Sir Kier Starmer’s Labour Government promised to bring forward transformative employment law changes within 100 days of taking office and has now delivered on that pledge with the presentation to Parliament of the Employment Rights Bill 2024. This legislation is not just another document. It spans over 150 pages and outlines 28 individual reforms. It's not the bare-bones approach that many expected; it's a thorough, ambitious, and comprehensive plan that reaches far and wide. The Bill's journey doesn't end here. It now enters a period of parliamentary debate and public consultations. Some discussions are set to kick off immediately, with the rest unfolding throughout 2025 and 2026. Let's start with what aspects of Labour's 'Making Work Pay' agenda have made it into this ground breaking bill, what might be coming down the line, and what might have been left behind. https://lnkd.in/eHANSPTH #EmploymentRightsBill
