This spring, our synthetic nanobodies were highlighted in the Journal of Biological Chemistry (April 2024). The study from Isabelle Landrieu’s lab and collaborators explores how these nanobodies provide crucial insights into Tau folding, structural dynamics, and activity relationships. ➡️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁? We’re excited to share that more VHHs are in development! Hello all!! I m very happy to share that I have received a certificate of a webinar which is on ' Aptamer Technology ', organised by the 'Anand School of Engineering and Technology'. In the webinar, we got to know about aptamers, these are the single stranded oligonucleotides(RNA or DNA) that binds to their respective targets with a high selectivity and affinity due to their unique three-dimensional structures. Generally, the aptamers are chosen using systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX), first used in 1990. #Biotechnology #Aptamers #Research

Today BioTech a.s. performed an exciting demo measurement for Vladena Bauerova of Slovenská akadémia vied / Slovak Academy of Sciences. Her research interest was a size characterization of proteins from which we picked a good candidate for ATP interaction. I am staying tuned for tomorrow for collecting data and evaluation. I would also like to thank the Loschmidt Laboratories, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University for enabling us the two day occupation of Fida Biosystems instrument. #BioTech #Proteins #StructuralBiology

The newest #ECOD (Evolutionary Classification of Protein Domains) classification is out NAR Nucleic Acids Research https://lnkd.in/gdfbDr7E - This study expands ECOD to integrate over 1.8 million domains from both experimental structures (#PDB) and predicted structures (#AlphaFold Database), offering a unified classification framework - ECOD incorporates predicted structures from 48 proteomes spanning model organisms and global health concerns, assigning 90% of residues to existing homologous groups.
