❓🇸🇪 How are Swedish startups really doing? In a European comparison, better or worse? It depends, of course, and Europe is too small to be competitive between nations when it comes to innovation. On a global level, does coming from Europe make you less competitive as a startup? 🇪🇺 What we do know is that European startups are facing more and more challenges as regulatory pressure has increased. Scaling from here is hard, but not impossible. There are however many barriers to cross. Busy week, busy ecosystem #TechWeekinReview shows preparations, lot of activity, financing in search. ➡️bonapp.eco opened a 2-million-euro financing round to support its international expansion. The startup helps fighting food waste by connecting customers with food providers such as restaurants, cafes and shops offering discounted products which are nearing expiration date. The startup was recognized for its contribution and development as The Startup of the Year at the recent professional community event ANIS Romania Gala. ➡️The ecosystem is dominated by intense learning, sharing, networking which is also mirrored in busy angel investors agenda. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to dive into the heart of Prague's startup scene, networking with innovative startups and forward-thinking VCs. Thanks again to the team at TRUESDAYS and Startup Kitchen for hosting such a great event. Here are some standout quotes: 1️⃣ "Don't call yourself an AI fund - that's like saying you are sector-agnostic." The evolution of AI is undeniably shaping our future, but it's about being more than a label.
