Last week, Issured’s CEO and CISO, Jon and Pete, spent the night sleeping outside in support of The Bus Shelter MK as part of the CEO Sleepout UK initiative. Jon and Pete have said of the experience, “this has been eye-opening, and is a stark reminder of what homeless people across the country are going through every night. The Bus Shelter MK are in a position to make a real difference to tackle homelessness, and we hope our fundraising can support the great work they do. Thank you to the organisers at CEO Sleepout. A massive thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and supported our fundraising efforts. You can still donate using the links below.” Issured have been supporting The Bus Shelter MK for over a year, a vital charity in the local community who provide shelter, food, and support for their residents, who are rough sleepers looking to make the right progress towards a life of independence away from the streets. The donation links to support The Bus Shelter MK are still live, please support in any way you can. 3 Reasons To Support Local Charities: 1. Direct Impact on the Community: Donations to local charities have an immediate and visible impact, benefiting your community by addressing needs like education, healthcare, housing, or food security. Supporting local causes helps build a stronger, more vibrant community where everyone can thrive. 2. Personal Connection and Accountability: When you donate locally, you're more likely to see the results of your contributions firsthand. You may have personal ties to the cause or know the people involved, which fosters greater trust, accountability, and transparency in how funds are used. 3. Boosting Local Economy and Civic Engagement: Donating to local charities often strengthens the local economy by creating jobs, funding local projects, and encouraging others to get involved. It also nurtures a sense of civic pride and responsibility, helping to build a culture of generosity and social responsibility close to home. #Appalachia #payitforward #givetoday www.supportappalachia.org

Homelessness in the West Midlands, including Warwickshire, has been increasing due to rising housing costs and limited access to affordable housing. From 2023-24, there was a 12.3% rise in households assessed as homeless or at risk, with approximately 178,560 households requiring immediate assistance across England, including a significant portion in the West Midlands. For Warwickshire specifically, organizations emphasize proactive intervention, from financial aid and rent deposit schemes to mental health support for those vulnerable to homelessness. However, resource constraints remain a challenge for both statutory and voluntary agencies in effectively managing homelessness (especially rough sleeping) across the county. That's why Kare Plus Kenilworth want to support those who are in need this winter by collecting donations at Kare Plus Kenilworth, 23 Talisman Square, Kenilworth, CV8 1JB. #karepluskenilworth #supportingthehomeless #helpthevulnerable
📢 This winter, Kare Plus Kenilworth is collecting essential donations for local homeless shelters across Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Drop off your contributions from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, at 23 Talisman Square, Kenilworth, CV8 1JB. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need! 🌨️🧣 #Warwickshire #SupportTheHomeless #WarmWinter

HELP HOMELESS STREET ANGELS GET BACK ON THE ROAD 🙏 For years, the Homeless Street Angels have been a lifeline for those experiencing homelessness, providing food, clothing, and support on the streets. Their ford transit van was not just a vehicle—it was hope on wheels, bringing comfort to those in desperate need. ❤️ But now, that hope is parked indefinitely. The van is out of commission, and the streets are colder without the Angels’ vital support. 💔 We Need Your Help 💔 If we can come together as a LinkedIn community, we can get the Angels back on the road where they belong. Whether it’s a donation, a connection to someone who can provide a van, or even spreading this message to your networks—every action matters. 🙏 Let’s show that the power of LinkedIn extends far beyond business, and into the heart of our communities. If you or your company has a ford transit van, or if you know of anyone who can help, please get in touch. Together, we can keep hope alive for those who need it most. #HomelessStreetAngels #CommunitySupport #LinkedInForGood #DonateNow #MakeADifference Shelley Joyce Becky Joyce

Having assisted Scott and the board with their strategic planning process, I know these resources will be used effectively
We extend a huge thank you to Assistance League of Atlanta, which has recently partnered with 3Keys to donate essential items for our residents. This partnership means that our residents—many of whom arrive with little to nothing more than the clothes they are wearing—will receive welcome kits with new bedding, shower shoes, pots and pans, laundry pods, towels, and much more. Assistance League of Atlanta is also assisting with our activities program by donating supplies that enable us to continue offering meaningful activities for our residents. Partnerships like this are critical in helping us support our residents as they transition from homelessness to stability. #endhomelessness #nonprofitpartnerships

As #HospiceCareWeek comes to an end, we want to highlight the vital work of our #HospiceShopHeroes 👇 💜 Rowcroft plays a key role in delivering vital end-of-life care to 2,500 patients and their loved ones across South Devon each year. 📈 However, we’re facing increasing financial pressures due to many factors including rising costs, a national drop in charitable giving, low and stagnating government funding, and a growing demand for end-of-life care. 👩⚕️ These challenges underscore the critical need for community support and funding to ensure the continuation of important services. By visiting and donating to our Rowcroft shops, YOU play a crucial role in ensuring we can continue to deliver end-of-life care across your local community. Make a difference: volunteer, shop or donate to a Rowcroft shop today. 👉 https://lnkd.in/euUxtKx4

Personal post alert... and it is a bit hard hitting ❓ Did you know that the average age of death for people experiencing homelessness is 46 for men and 42 for women... ❔ Homeless people are over nine times more likely to take their own life than the general population. ❓ People sleeping on the street are almost 17 times more likely to have been victims of violence. More than one in three people sleeping rough have been deliberately hit or kicked or experienced some other form of violence whilst homeless. People have even been set on FIRE. ❔ The statistics show that one third of care leavers become homeless in the first two years immediately after they leave care and 25% of homeless people have been in care at some point in their lives. I am not only a care leaver, but have personally been homeless and at risk of homelessness many times in my younger years – so raising money for this great cause is also somewhat personal. All donations are so very much appreciated, and I am looking forward to seeing just how much I (we) can raise this year! 🙏
Join us in supporting our very own Ricci Gretton as he participates in 'The Big Sleep Out 2024' to raise crucial funds for those affected by #homelessness On the 23rd of February, Ricci will be braving the cold to raise awareness and funds for this important cause. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need. Click the link below to donate and help Ricci reach his fundraising target. Every contribution counts and brings us one step closer to providing vital support to individuals facing homelessness. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eYw-nzf8 Let's come together as a community and show our support for Ricci and all those affected by homelessness. Together, we can make a real difference! #BigSleepOut2024 #EndHomelessness

One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference. Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. Our Managing Director Phil Allison is helping to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, he'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness. To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, your donation can really help. Will you help Phil reach his target? Donating can make a huge difference to people who need it most. Doing what we can, but there is still so much more that can be done.
🛋️ Event Planning Post | Las Vegas Giveback This year, we have been partnering with local organizations in Las Vegas to make a positive impact with the Healthcare Advocate Summit. Anyone involved in event planning knows the high markups on rentals and furniture, and the total cost this can add up to for three days of furniture. So, we decided to cancel our entire show order this week and purchase the items ourselves. At the close of our event, we are thrilled to support the CARE Complex which helps those who are homeless transition into unfurnished apartments. We will be donating our items to this wonderful organization. The effort in navigating and managing logistics is well worth giving back to the city of Las Vegas 💜 Care Complex’s Mission “Dedicated to ending homelessness in Southern Nevada, one individual at a a time” https://lnkd.in/eHQwPgpU #Giveback #Donation #Support
