Worth your 8 minute investment "And here are two interesting points – since the inception of the Communist Party of China, there have been constant moves to maintain the democratic process – despite what Western media will tell you, Mao was all for democracy – he met with Roosevelt’s special envoy in 1943 to lay out a plan where China would become a democracy in the sense that the US wanted it to become, he signed a Five Point Agreement with Patrick Hurley to ensure that, after the war, all the Parties which had fought against the Japanese would have a power sharing structure and move to elections – the only person who wouldn’t sign it was Chiang Kai Shek. I don’t make this stuff up, this comes from US Archives, and I’ve linked a US based academic paper in support, that paper has links to US State Department historical archives. The other interesting point is that there’s nothing in any Marxist theories or China’s Constitution, it’s laws or its policies that say no one can get rich – a walk around any town or city in China will prove that’s just nonsense. Rich Chinese people leave China for studies, they go on international holidays and they come home richer for the experience – why would so many people, who are experiencing such a terrible life leave and return – for that matter, if China was such a terrible place, why would they even be allowed to leave in the first place!" #west #usa #china #communist #authoritarin #law #rules #westernpropaganda #fakenews #westernmedia #mediabias #racism #skincolour

It's a given that the United States is ignorant and naive. The United States is a 250-year-old child state, while China is a 4,000-year-old continuous civilization state. The United States cannot understand China any more than a 5-year-old toddler can understand an octogenarian who has a lifetime of experience and wisdom. This is why the United States is unable to outsmart China strategically. While China is playing weiqi (or go), the United States is playing tic-tac-toe (befitting a 5-year-old). China is the grandmaster and the United States is the novice.

https://lnkd.in/dwQ-NUkG US and China Aren’t in Another Cold War. It’s Worse Imagining they are engaged in a twilight struggle, the two rivals may actually be hastening a conflagration closer to World War I. July 11, 2024 at 12:30 AM GMT+5:30 By Minxin Pei A raft of newly published books take for granted that the US and China have entered a new cold war. The conclusion is understandable, especially for policymakers who came of age during that earlier twilight struggle. Once again, a liberal democracy is engaged in a global struggle with a communist dictatorship. Countries everywhere are under pressure to choose sides. In fact, the historical analogy is wrong. And unless the two rivals recognize that soon, they may fail to repeat the greatest unsung accomplishment of the US-Soviet cold war: avoiding a hot one.

Is there is a continuity or not in the ways in which China sees itself and the world as it celebrates its 75 years of founding anniversary? Guest author Dr. Sriparna Pathak, PhD argues that China has often lamented the loss of its position and repute as the Middle Kingdom, and it is visible in foreign policy formulations in every epoch of history. The PRC wants a return to its stature of the Middle Kingdom and there is a continuity in the ways in which it sees the world. Tools and mechanisms change in different historical time periods, but the core goals remain the same. Read full commentary on: https://lnkd.in/gx38wA_6 #China #WorldOrder #Geopolitics

The Thucydides Trap is based on a flawed historical analysis. It primarily examines the growth of Western powers and does not match China's historical context. China's rise is not driven by the same factors as Western powers, such as the need to establish or retain international status through force. #Flawed Historical Analysis

China is doing a lot of things right. Here are three of the top ten: 1. Hires honest geniuses to govern. Since Christ’s time, the government has hired only morally exemplary men who graduate in the top 0.02% of its civil service exam. Says President Trump, “People say you don’t like China. No, I love them. But their leaders are much smarter than our leaders. And we can’t sustain ourselves like that. It’s like playing the New England Patriots and Tom Brady against your high school football team.” The proof of the pudding is in the eating and, to date, Chinese brains are beating Western brawn hands down. 2. Keeps the everyone on the same page. Because they all share Confucian values, Chinese are almost unanimous about matters like gender, right and wrong, child rearing, marriage, work, money, getting ahead and, especially, governance. As Prime Minister Wen Jiabao told a Harvard class, “China has big problems but, when a billion people cooperate to solve them, they become small problems”. 96% agree that their country is heading in the right direction: towards two societal goals Confucius described two-thousand five-hundred years ago. The first, a xiaokang society, will have a Gini Coefficient like Norway’s 27%, and be complete by 2049. Then they’ll move onto the next stage, building a radically communitarian dàtóng society. 3. Remains stable, predictable. Love it or hate it – and ninety-percent of Chinese love it – their government transfers power smoothly, squelches factional squabbling, keeps every Five Year promise and honors its international agreements.

Part 2 of my “deep dive” with Josef Gregory Mahoney on interwoven themes of China, technology, civilisation and democracy. The conversation isn’t about easy answers, and indeed, delves into aspects of dialectics that are part and parcel of China’s own philosophical and intellectual traditions, as well as those of Marxism. … unity of opposites rather than the either/or of the law of non/ -contradictions. These traditions are key to understanding how China sees itself and its relationship to others in the world; and also helps illuminate our understanding of how China’s political leadership is thinking about the issues and challenges that it seeks to navigate. You can't really say you understand China until you truly understand what George Yeo is trying to explain here. China's peaceful reRising is crucial to providing a positive impetus our World needs desperately to counter an #Apartheid Regime the #UglyAmerican #supremacist #klan and their like-minded ones are seeking to sustain. China could not counter the Global #Apartheid Regime alone. Enough is Enough! Those immoral American led West corrupt politicians many sponsored by US insidious #militaryindustrialcomplex and foreign agencies (you can guess them easily) are the source of geopolitical tensions today. The China's vision of a new progressive world order is well aligned with UNSDGs: "Peace & Co-Prosperity" #ClimateChange #Humanity #Justice #Peace #Humanrights are color-neutral. https://lnkd.in/gvdt8wc8
