🌍 Exploring New Horizons for Tunisian Trade and Investment🌍 I recently had the privilege to address a forum on the immense opportunities and challenges in enhancing inter-regional trade and investment. Despite significant progress, like the establishment of a free trade area, the level of international trade remains underwhelming, at about $14.1 billion, far below our potential. Studies suggest that we could increase this to $100 billion! Tunisia, although a new member COMESA, is among the top trading partners in the region, and there's a vast landscape of opportunities waiting to be explored. From leveraging flexible rules of origin to navigating the complexities of transport logistics, our SMEs need more support and strategic guidance to tap into these markets effectively. Key points discussed included: - The need for stronger coordination between public and private sectors. - The importance of aligning domestic laws with regional agreements. - The potential of digitalization to enhance trade efficiency. - Strategies to improve awareness about regional trade opportunities. A special thanks to Dr. Christopher Onynago, Director Trade and Customs at COMESA, and Mr. @Chekib Ben Mustapha, Director General at Mond Beratung, for their insightful presentations. Also, a big thank you to our moderator, Mr. Wassim Ben Larbi for facilitating the discussion. Let's continue to work together to unlock the full potential of our region, fostering greater trade and investment opportunities for all. #Trade #Investment #SMEs #Tunisia #RegionalTrade #EconomicDevelopment #MarketIntegration

The UAE and Chile signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and His Excellency Gabriel Boric, President of Chile. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, said, “The UAE-Chile CEPA is a significant step forward for our foreign trade ambitions and consolidates our growing relationship with South America. This deal unites two nations who are both committed to developing open, market-based economies that leverage trade, talent and technology to deliver long-term prosperity. Chile offers a range of exciting opportunities for our private sector, particularly in key sectors such as manufacturing, mining, financial services, renewable energy, tourism and agriculture, and I look forward to our business communities establishing further synergies once the deal is implemented. Importantly, this CEPA also secures a partner that shares our belief in the importance of sustainable growth, from trade technology to eco-tourism, and who we can work with to shape the economy of tomorrow.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/d3x7GSYe Kreston Menon appreciates the UAE government's efforts to support businesses in the UAE and its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with other countries. #UAEChileCEPA #EconomicPartnership #TradeAgreement #BilateralRelations #GlobalTrade #InternationalBusiness #EconomicGrowth #SustainableTrade #BusinessOpportunities #RenewableEnergy #InvestmentOpportunities #GlobalEconomy #UAEBusinessCouncil #ChileEmbassyUAE #GoingGlobal #CEPA #UAE #Chile #KrestonLatAm #KrestonBAArgentina #KrestonBSG #KrestonFLS #KrestonColombia #KrestonPeru #KrestonPartnership #fdi #WAM # #GulfNews #Khaleejtimes #KrestonATCChile #KrestonChile #KrestonMCA #krestonmenon #krestonglobal #knowingyou
