Experimenting solar radiations on different building orientations using the Heliodon model #Environmental #Design #architecture #aastmt
Amazing! We never had that model back then 👌
I felt it was necessary to use the insightful reaction on this post. 💡💡💡
Lovely to see old technology like this being used. However, some thought should be paid to how the landscape surrounding those models evolves.over time. Trees grow, and all that light you were getting when first built might diminish when the trees are taller. Afraid to say, the static model here doesn't show that evolution of a building with its landscape.
Very very interesting
Very nice
That is the kind of creativity students need to be inspired at School ❤💡
Where is that experiment?
That is very well done. Congratulations.
This is something every college should have taught us.....most of us never understood this clearly
How lovely to see students still using this Helioden - nothing compare to physical modelling and monitoring in Architecture Education. I am not sure if this is the first one (as we built two ) myself and Prof Ahmed Elseragy, SFHEA built with our Environmental Design students at Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport some 20 years ago this is when we founded the Environmental Design Lab when Prof Abbas Yehia (bless his soul) was the head of the department.
