One of the most discussed topics in #HR is #Wellbeing.
Ella Overshott's thought-provoking article in HRZone questions if we are prioritizing individual needs over business needs.
A key idea she presents is 'Colleague Journey Mapping' and 'Day In The Life' workshops to comprehend the effects of change on groups of people.

I agree that employee well-being benefits the company’s objectives. A disengaged employee or one showing signs of distress (59% of quiet-quitters according to Deloitte is very high) will not prioritize the needs of their company over their own, especially with the new generation of workers.
Thanks for sharing James Kelley - they are really practical and collaborative ways of managing capacity & ensuring change is delivered in a way that achieves the intended benefits
It's crystal clear: #mentalhealth must be a specific and dedicated HR focus this year. 🧠
Not a secondary concern, not a luxury perk: employee wellbeing is now taking centre stage in commercial conversations, made clear in Forbes' key findings for its 2024 HR trends report.
This is something we've been prioritising for a long time - from our workplace wellbeing audits to our people-first approach to #HR.
And it's not just because it's a morally virtuous choice for business leaders. Today, companies also understand the significant impact of #mentalwellness and satisfaction on their bottom line. 📈
It's a strategic move that can enhance employee engagement, boost overall company performance, and, ultimately, lead to more sustainable and successful business outcomes.
Wellbeing is everyone's business. 🤝

Wellbeing has and always will be one of the most important aspects of HR and people management, and is something I am extremely passionate about as a HR professional.
An interesting report was published by HR Grapevine which highlights a number of insights. They discussed how 73% of HR teams turn to surveys and employee feedback to monitor the effectiveness of their wellbeing strategy, whereas only 27% have regular meetings with representatives from their workforce.
In my own work over the past few weeks, I have been speaking with my schools to build on their wellbeing strategies and initiatives. Employee voice has been a big part of this, with ongoing development into staff forums and providing opportunities to share their concerns and feel heard.
There are so many benefits to having employee voice channels, including:
🌟 Securing trust and confidence between employees, leaders and organisations.
🌟 Creating an inclusive environment.
🌟 Determining what matters most to your employees.
🌟 Informing organisations’ response to current issues.
I am looking forward to seeing these benefits come to life in my own organisation, and continuing to give back to employees with this wellbeing focus!
