A year ago, I had the privilege of supporting a family whose 93-year-old father, living with dementia, was facing an unjust eviction from his nursing home. It was a very distressing time for them, but CCFTV courageously stood up for him, seeking better care and justice. Together, we worked to bring attention to their case, and their determination even led to two MPs getting involved. Fast forward a year, and I’ve received this heartwarming update: their father is now 94, still mobile, and thriving in a new nursing home that provides the high standard of care every vulnerable resident deserves. What’s more, our advocacy didn’t just change life for their dad—it also inspired other families to move their loved ones to a superior care environment. Hearing how these residents, once at risk, are now thriving, gaining weight, and living with dignity fills me with immense pride. It is a testament to the power of speaking up and refusing to accept poor care as “the norm.” I’m often asked why I do this work. It’s because of stories like this - every vulnerable individual deserves a voice, and every family deserves support when navigating the challenges of care. Knowing CCFTV has made even a small difference keeps me going, no matter how hard the fight can sometimes feel. #CareCampaignForTheVulnerable #EllensMemory #DementiaCare #CareAdvocacy #SupportingFamilies #SafeCareMatters #VoiceForTheVulnerable #CareWithDignity #MakingADifference #BetterCareNow #CareStandards #CompassionInCare #CCFTV #TogetherWeCan #CareHeroes #FamilyFirst
