We've all heard the saying "good people don't leave companies, they leave bad managers & leaders." Unfortunately, many of us have either witnessed this behavior or experienced it firsthand. When leaders lack good character, it affects everyone around them, causing stress, fear, and eventually leading to high turnover rates or even legal risk. Research shows that organizations with leaders who demonstrate high character scores have an average return on assets five times higher than those with low character scores. When leaders exhibit positive character traits, it drives trust and business results. While character traits can't be trained outright, they shouldn't be left to chance. Through feedback, coaching, practice, and modeling, leaders can enhance their authenticity, integrity, courage, and other critical attributes that drive a healthy organizational culture. Let's work together to create a positive work environment by prioritizing character-building in our leaders.
