We Support Heal Rewilding 🌱 At JSM Associates, we're proud to support Heal Rewilding, a fantastic initiative dedicated to restoring our planet's natural ecosystems. I recently discovered this movement and immediately knew I wanted to get involved. Heal Rewilding's mission is to mend the wounds inflicted by human activity through the rewilding of ecosystems. Their work involves reintroducing native species, rejuvenating habitats, and fostering biodiversity. It's not just about protecting endangered species, but creating resilient ecosystems that can withstand modern challenges. One aspect I admire is their commitment to community empowerment. Heal Rewilding actively involves local residents in all their projects, ensuring that communities play a crucial role in restoration efforts. This approach not only supports ecological revival but also promotes sustainable livelihoods. Join me in supporting Heal Rewilding and their mission for a healthier planet. Our collective efforts can make a significant difference! 📧 jeremy@jsm-associates.co.uk 📞 07814 002240 #Rewilding #Sustainability #EnvironmentalImpact

We have launched ClimeCo 4Nature, a program that offers leading sustainability-focused companies an opportunity to invest in carefully selected nature-based projects that preserve and restore uniquely important habitats. Created in partnership with UPROAR, a conservation organization that supports global biodiversity solutions, the program allows one organization to serve as the sole sponsor of an entire project in an environmentally essential area of the world to maximize its positive impact. In addition to producing quantifiable, high-quality nature-based carbon removals, each 4Nature restoration and conservation project will also deliver pivotal ecosystem and community co-benefits, such as protecting native, vulnerable, and endangered species, restoring deforested areas, and helping improve the lives of indigenous peoples and local communities. 🌿🌎 Week 3: Cherishing and Safeguarding Our Local Ecosystems 🌿🌎 🍀 This week, we journey into the vibrant world of biodiversity and explore the importance of protecting our local ecosystems. Our local ecosystems provide us with clean air, fresh water, fertile soil, and a habitat for countless plant and animal species. 🌍 Our local ecosystems face a variety of threats, including: habitat destruction, pollution, and climate change. 📣 By raising awareness about the importance of biodiversity, conservation, and sustainable land use practices, we can inspire others to take action and become stewards of the environment. ** Community Engagement ** 🌳 Join Habitat Restoration Projects: Habitat restoration projects play a crucial role in cherishing and safeguarding our local ecosystems. These projects involve restoring degraded or damaged habitats to their natural state, enhancing biodiversity, and improving ecosystem health. Great work being done by Matthew Powell. Ecosulis is committed to restoring nature by creating and implementing effective and scalable nature-based solutions for the benefit of both people and the planet. 📍 They offer a range of services, including both consulting and practical expertise, particularly focusing on habitat creation and restoration. ** Sustainable Living Tips:** 🌿 Practice sustainable gardening ♻️ Reduce, reuse, and recycle to minimize waste and conserve resources 🌼 Plant native species. Native plants support local wildlife and biodiversity, provide habitat for pollinators, and require less water and maintenance. 🌳 Ultimately, by cherishing and safeguarding our local ecosystems, we ensure a thriving environment for generations to come. Let's celebrate biodiversity and take action to protect these precious natural resources! #Biodiversity #LocalEcosystems

Our Land, Our Future 2021-2030 has been declared the UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration. Among the many programs being conducted to revive ecosystems around the world, land restoration is a key pillar. Every year, an estimated 12 million hectares of land—including forests, farmlands, dry lands, and more—are lost to degradation. Nearly 6 million hectares of this loss comprises forested lands. A loss of this magnitude affects nearly 40% of the world’s population and is pushing 1 million species towards extinction. It disproportionately harms those who are least equipped to cope: rural communities, farmers, and the poor. Land degradation threatens human rights, health, food, water, and a healthy environment. As society evolves towards a more individualistic outlook, we tend to forget that we are connected to the biosphere beyond our immediate perception. The food on our plates is the result of the work of pollinators like bees and birds. Half of the oxygen we need comes from oceanic plankton, while the waste we produce is consumed and decomposed by worms and microbes. The activities of even a mundane day bear the natural world’s strong fingerprints, and its delicate connections are balanced behind the scenes. These interactions are the building blocks of a living habitat and indicators of a thriving ecosystem that is sustainable for all. A #terrarium was created at our project, Karle Town Centre, to showcase the delicate balance and interconnectedness you would experience in a tropical rainforest. A healthy tropical forest is an amalgamation of feeding patterns, flowering times, and nutrient cycling that come together to make a beautiful symphony of colours, sounds, and smells. It is the pinnacle of natural habitats, embodying the spirit of interconnectedness. From forest floor plants capturing small bugs and moss decomposing the dead into nutrients to the Anthurium flowers feeding the pollinators, each species adds to the ecosystem's diversity. We cannot turn back time, but we can take decisive action in our daily business operations to conserve our ecosystems. At Karle Town Centre, we have implemented various techniques to move towards a more sustainable future. Reducing #SoilErosion: We use native plants and smart erosion prevention techniques to keep our soil healthy and intact. Minimizing #LightPollution: By reducing light #pollution, we protect the vital circadian rhythms of insects and small wildlife. Conserving #FreshWater: Treated water from our on-campus sewage treatment plants is used for landscaping, reducing the strain on fresh water sources. Advanced technology helps us monitor and optimize water use. Reducing #UrbanHeatIslandEffect: High-reflective materials and reduced asphalt usage keep temperatures lower and decrease the need for extensive HVAC systems. #GenerationRestoration #WorldEnvironmentDay #WorldEnvironmentDay2024
