It is in action at the baler facility, providing our Swedish colleagues with smooth and silent operation. Why the 840? We made a conscious choice for efficiency. No need for a bigger machine when we can reduce energy consumption and maximize impact with this size! Latest innovations from Steklarna Hrastnik d.o.o. 1860 - Electrification of glass melting Sustainability is a key part of Hrastnik 1860's business development strategy, with #innovation being at its forefront. The latest technology from this pioneering company is electrification of glass melting.   The aim of the BEAR project (co-funded by the European Union’s Innovation Fund) is to revolutionise the end-fired regenerative furnace design through hybridisation by increasing the energy share of electrical boosting from the conventional 5-10% of end-fired regenerative furnaces to 40%.   This will enable Hrastnik1860’s production site to reduce its natural gas consumption and related GHG emissions by more than 50%.   This cutting-edge technology makes it possible to use carbon neutral energy sources while maintaining the operational flexibility of conventional regenerative fossil-fuel furnaces.   Their commitment to #sustainability is highly appreciated by their consumers, which is why Hrastnik1860 (a member of VAIDER GROUP AG Group) has planned a 'Sustainability Week' this December.   They have already begun accepting orders from both existing and new clients, offering them the choice of producing their bottles in a hydrogen-powered glass-melting furnace (an innovation we’ve previously covered) or in a hybrid regenerative glass furnace. #hybrid #hydrogen #bottles #furnace #future #technology #glass

Every year, World Environment Day is celebrated on the 5 June. It is the UN's main day of action for the environment and is supported by many.   At Fasten.it’s head office, we have an electric charging point ⚡️ for vehicles so that our employees can switch to electric vehicles. Electric motors perform better than normal combustion engines. The vehicles have a carbon footprint that is 50-80% smaller.   Similarly, Fasten.it's new industry magazine Let's Fasten.it will be mainly in digital format, reducing paper consumption. Over the last few months, our sister company BearingNet has planted more than 2,000 trees after going 'green' with it's Best Bits magazine. It’s really fantastic to see Benjamin Ditzler getting such a great response to his #recycling messaging products at the #AASHE24 conference. I love an elegant solution to a problem, and Dyvert is manufacturing some of the most simple and innovative products on the market to help improve recycling and #composting and drastically reduce contamination.
