One challenge that comes up with a lot of my clients is the emotional work of working motherhood- of being the emotional regulator of the family, and then often (especially as women in leadership) being the emotional regulator at work. It's exhausting and can leave little room for their own feelings. We work on this in all sorts of ways, but sometimes the biggest relief just comes from naming that they are doing it!

3moI work from home so I can be present for my 11 and 12 year old. It's a blessing and a curse. I often feel like I am drowning in work that will never get done. I sleep to escape this reality so I get a wonderful 8-9 hours every night; however, I realize sleep is checking out and not necessarily resolving my emotions. I'm trying to teach my kids to clean up after themselves so the house is not a disaster area while I am working but they aren't great at it. I hate to be a total nag negative person all the time but FFS this is out of control. One more week until school is back in session. Praise Jesus. 🙏
