I've experienced three roles in the small community-focused Gym industry: 1. As a client 2. As a personal Trainer 3. As a Gym Instructor And here are three insights I've discovered so far: 1. Most gyms don't follow up on their clients - or they eventually get tired of following up on their clients 2. Most gyms don't have a lucrative partnership deal with the independent Personal Trainers working in their gyms. And for that matter they don't know how to leverage those kinds of relationships. 3. Most gyms do not invest in the growth and education of their gym instructors (their most important human capital). Launching a project soon - 06/01/2025

Here are the 2 most common reasons I see people not getting results in the gym… 1. Not being consistent with their training sessions. One week, you train once, and the next, you train three times. 2. You’re lifting with the incorrect technique. Because you’re not lifting with good technique and not working the intended muscle. To fix this… 1. Select a program that matches how many days you can consistently attend the gym. 2. Hire a coach or trainer to help show you the correct technique. Follow for more daily content just like this.

Let’s face it. Sometimes the gym can get boring. If you are there for minimum of 3 times a week, you can quickly get fed up with looking at the same four walls and using the same old equipment. Sometimes it may get busy and others, you might even need to que for equipment, massively disrupting your workout. A PT will have a range of equipment that they can bring with them including items that are chosen specifically for you, giving you access to different apparatus and with it, techniques. Better still, a PT has free reign to really mix up your training – this can include runs, hill walks and even swims. The whole point is keeping your programme fresh and interesting to keep you engaged and stepping things up like this will do just that.
