Jewish Family and Children's Services of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties’ Post

In the 175 years since its founding, JFCS has always met the needs of people in our community as they arise—guided by Jewish principles that place the worth of human life above all else. This core value led to the 1988 launch of Chicken Soupers, a program founded to provide kosher meals to people suffering from AIDS. Now, decades later, Chicken Soupers continues to bring together volunteers from Congregation Beth Sholom, Congregation Sherith Israel, and JFCS' Young Adult Community Connection to prepare nutritious meals for people in need. #JFCS175 #JewishValues #PikuachNefesh
