⭐ The Volvo FM astonishes with five stars ⭐ Euro NCAP recently published the first set of results from its pioneering TRUCK SAFE assessment programme. The FM, from the Swedish Volvo, takes the maximum star rating of five stars. It is also awarded the City Safe, a recognition given to trucks that feature technologies or good design that can prevent accidents that typically happen in cities or urban environments. 🚚 After undergoing tests, the FM proves to be an excellent safe choice for a vehicle in the fleet sector. The direct vision is very good, helped by the availability of CMS. Combined with very good assistance systems, this produces a very good Safe Driving score. It achieves a very good score in Collision Avoidance, with every system Euro NCAP assessed being available including automated braking to protect cyclists where trucks turn across their path. 🛣️ "Volvo has achieved the coveted five-star rating and the CitySafe award, highlighting its trucks' exceptional safety both on highways and in urban environments, especially with the FM model. Volvo Trucks scores five stars in the independent safety test! For the first time, the European consumer test organisation Euro NCAP assessed the safety of heavy-duty trucks. Volvo’s best-selling models, the Volvo FH and the Volvo FM, both received the top rating of five stars. Our popular Volvo FH Aero and Volvo FM truck models just recieved five stars in the consumer test organization European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP)’s first safety test of heavy duty trucks! The FH Aero, whose partner is the FM from the Swedish Volvo, takes the maximum star rating of five stars. It is also awarded the City Safe, a recognition given to trucks that feature technologies or good design that can prevent accidents that typically happen in cities or urban environments. 🚚 Like its partner FM, the FH is an excellent safe choice for a vehicle in the fleet sector. The direct vision is good, helped by the availability of CMS and its aero-inclined front. It has a very good Safe Driving and Collision Avoidance score. ⭐ The DAF XF finishes with three stars ⭐ Euro NCAP - For Safer Cars, Vans & Trucks recently published the first set of results from its pioneering TRUCK SAFE assessment programme. The XF, from the Dutch/British DAF, takes a good star rating of three stars. It is also awarded the City Safe, a recognition given to trucks that feature technologies or good design that can prevent accidents that typically happen in cities or urban environments. 🚚 The XF delivers class-leading Safe Driving performance for a flat-floor long-haul cab, with very good vision features like deep windows, low belt lines, a lower door window, and CMS replacing mirrors. Its AEB system performs moderately well in front-to-rear and frontal collisions with pedestrians and cyclists.
