As a wealthy nation, Canada has all the resources necessary to meaningfully and measurably improve children’s health and wellbeing, but what will it take? And, where should we prioritize investments to yield greatest impact? “ – Children’s Healthcare Canada.   This week, Angelo Mikrogianakis, Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University and Chief of Pediatrics at McMaster Children’s Hospital joined child health leaders from across the country to discuss solutions. This is why the violence is so high. Until we fix all these systems issues, we have to learn to protect ourselves. And these people don’t need de escalation, they need resources, they need opioid withdrawal tools, they need adequate psych resources. Until then, we have to approach the situation with #TACT.
