As our company is planning for next year, we are focusing on leadership. What it means to you and your beliefs. We were asked to either reference a famous quote on leadership or create one. At this late stage of my career, I wanted to reflect on what I wanted from a leader and what it means to me to lead. I hope I have dreamed big, dared to do and inspired others along the way. "True leadership is the art of inspiring action. It's about kindling the fire within oneself and then using that spark to ignite the passions of others. Let's dare to dream, dare to do, and dare to inspire." Share with me what you believe leadership is and what has inspired you.
Your reflections on leadership highlight a crucial element that often gets overlooked: the genuine connection between a leader and their team. The idea of using one's inner spark to inspire others is powerful and resonates deeply. Leadership isn't just about directing; it's about creating an environment where others feel empowered to contribute their ideas and talents. We'd love to hear what specific experiences have shaped your understanding of leadership and how they have influenced your approach.
Leadership to me is to make the whole greater than the sum of its parts.
That's a good quote. Thanks for sharing

1moTo me, the best leaders are those that enable their team to achieve and influence. To your point: leadership is inspiration, driving creativity and passion to accomplish goals. I’ve seen several who do this, but those viewed with greatest admiration recognize potential in others, offering guidance and collaboration to create next generation leadership, promoting their growth. These are the leaders I remember best and most favorably.
