ORIGINAL POST: We're excited to announce the launch of The AMG Black Series Collection from Silver Arrow Cars. It's hard to believe that the first of the Black Edition cars are now 20 years old. At the time they were a return to form for AMG, hearkening back to the days when the Affalterbach tuner made low-production, high-performance versions of Mercedes-Benz cars that were just barely tame enough to drive on the street. To date, six models have received the Black Series treatment. Five are represented here, as is a 2005 CLK AMG DTM coupe of similar temperament. Banner’s BDMs have been on hand to attend a number of prominent Aftermarket Trade Evenings of late, none being more important than that of long standing customer, D&A Factors.      Indeed it was a pleasure to help support their trade show held at the Jim Clarke Hall located at Errol Airfield, an event that saw D&A celebrate its 50th Anniversary.   Taking place over two days, the event attracted a great turn out from both suppliers and D&A customers who took the time to join in the celebrations.   Here’s what Banner’s man on the ground, BDM Kevin Roberts, had to say: “Everyone connected with D&A should be really proud of themselves. It was obvious that a lot of hard work and endeavour had gone into making the event so successful and in such a poignant venue with its obvious links to all things automotive. The car is finished in blue and rides on Koni shocks along with 15" Fergat-style wheels. Inside, the low-back front seats are trimmed in gray tweed with blue vinyl sides and are accompanied by a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel along with refurbished Veglia instrumentation. Need Leads? / Modified 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Sprint Speciale at No Reserve: This 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Sprint Speciale is one of a claimed 1,399 examples produced between 1963 and 1965, and it is said to have been initially delivered to Newark, New Jersey. The car was modified under previous ownership using styling cues derived from the early SSZ Stradale cars built for racing use by Tom Zatloukal. Work involved revising the fenders, flaring the wheel arches, and removing the bumpers along with a number of exterior trim pieces. The car has been repainted red and rides on 15" TZ-style wheels paired with front disc and finned rear drum brakes. Power is provided by a 1,570cc twin-cam inline-four that breathes through dual Weber carburetors, while shifting is through a five-speed manual transmission. Inside, a set of Recaro front bucket seats trimmed in black leather have been installed along with latch-and-link lap belts.
