Sir Ganga Ram was an Indian civil engineer and architect. Owing to his extensive contributions to the urban development of Lahore, Pakistan, he is fondly remembered as "The Father of Modern Lahore." The first Sir Ganga Ram Hospital was established in 1921, at the end of World War I, in Lahore. Sir Ganga Ram donated the land for its construction. After the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, India established another "Sir Ganga Ram Hospital" in New Delhi. After several months of piloting JOGO, the hospital is conducting a workshop today to train all their OB/GYN physicians in its use. The hospital's OB/GYN Department was established by the late Dr. S. K. Bhandari, a world-renowned OB/GYN physician. Dr. Bhandari earned her medical degree in India and pursued postgraduate studies in the United States, where she became the first physician of Indian origin to work at the New British General Hospital in Connecticut. At the time, British India did not recognize American medical degrees, so she went to England to complete her postgraduate studies. While in England, she worked under John Hopkins, the author of Shaw's Operative Gynaecology, for two years. Dr. Bhandari is also famously known for delivering the grandchildren of Indira Gandhi: Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi. She brought cutting-edge treatments from the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, elevating its standards to global excellence. Today, JOGO has become a standard treatment at this prestigious hospital. This is truly a tremendous honor for JOGO!

highlights The result of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023 was released on Tuesday. Disappointing performance of Bihar in UPSC Civil Services examination this year. Bihari students, who always perform better, could not come in the top ten this time. Patna. The final result of UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 was released on Tuesday. This time a total of 1016 candidates have passed. Of these, 664 male and 352 female candidates have been successful. Aditya Srivastava of Lucknow has achieved the top position this time. At present Aditya is an IPS and his training is going on in Hyderabad. Three of the top five are IPS and are training together in Hyderabad. This is the first time in the last 11 years that an IPS officer in the civil services has achieved All India first rank. If we take a look at the results of previous years, Bihar has always hoisted the flag in the top ten. This is the first time that no candidate from Bihar has got success in the top ten. Academics are brainstorming about this. However, it is a different matter that the candidates from Bihar were definitely successful in the top 20. At number 19 is Shivam Kumar who is a resident of Samastipur. 23rd rank is Saurabh Sharma of Gopalganj. Jufisha Haq is at number 34, while Veerupaksh Vikram Singh of Aurangabad has hoisted his flag at rank 49. Priya Rani of Phulwari Sharif is at 69th rank. Siddhant Kumar of Patna has secured 114th rank. Dr. Prem Kumar of Obra block got 130th rank. Nitesh Kumar Mishra of Darbhanga has got 158th rank and Apoorva Anand of Banka has got 163rd rank. Disappointing performance of Bihar students in ranking alsoSaim Raja of Muzaffarpur got 188th rank in UPSC. Aniket Dubey of Gopalganj secured 226th rank and became IPS. Ajay Yadav of Saran district has secured 290th rank. Anubhav of Jehanabad has got 309th rank. Monica Srivastava has got 455th rank. Rahul Kumar of Muzaffarpur has got 504th rank while Ranu Gupta of Raxaul has got 536th rank. Shahenshah Siddiqui of Narkatiaganj has got 762nd rank. Reason may be due to error in selection of subjectsIf seen from the point of view of Bihar, this result is definitely not disappointing or encouraging, because in Bihar, where boys have topped UPSC many times, not coming in 1 to 10 is shocking. We asked experts and When we consulted renowned educationist Dr. Sanjay Kumar, he said that perhaps this time the boys of Bihar did not get marks in the interview to the extent that they should have. This is the reason why he was seen lagging behind in the final results. Dr. Sanjay Kumar said that the lot of candidates who were preparing for UPSC this time from Bihar also missed the selection of subjects. Also, the lack of seriousness of the Bihari students of this batch can also be an important factor. Decline in quality education, weakness in base – Dr. NavalAt the same time, according to Professor Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary, retired professor of Patna University, one of the main

Rest are all Civil Engineers. These three legal luminaries helped us in draft and enactment of Karnataka Professional Civil Engineers Act. Considering that despite best of our efforts "Engineers bill' is lying dormant in the parliament for the past three decades, enactment KPCEA is a giant step for us Civil Engineers. 🏗️ New Pathology Laboratory Extension at University Hospital Waterford 🏗️ Works are progressing at pace on another Major Multi-Million-Euro Healthcare project at UHW for our long-time Clients in the Health Service Executive. A significant demolition and enabling works package followed by complex civils works including substantial service diversions have already taken place on site at UHW. All works are being overseen by TOBC's Keith, Frank and Pat, and are being carried out in a live and acute hospital environment, with the site located directly adjacent to the A&E Department and Ambulance drop-off. There are significant tie-ins & connections required back into the existing occupied laboratory facility, so our team's knowledge and understanding of working to Health Service Executive protocols and strict H&S procedures have been vital so far in the early stages of this project. With one of Tom O'Brien Construction's own self-erector cranes due to be erected on site before the Christmas break, the superstructure of this new 2-storey state-of-the-art Laboratory building will start to take shape in the coming weeks. 🚧 *The Unsung Heroes of India's Infrastructure: Civil Engineers* 🚧In the dynamic landscape of India's rapid development, civil engineers stand at the forefront, shaping the nation's infrastructure and ensuring sustainable growth. However, the conditions they face often go unnoticed and underappreciated. 👷♂️ Challenges and Resilience: Working Conditions: Many civil engineers in India endure harsh working environments, from extreme weather conditions at construction sites to long hours that extend well beyond the typical workday. Safety Concerns: Safety protocols are improving but still lag in some areas, putting engineers at risk as they strive to deliver on ambitious projects. Compensation and Recognition: Despite playing a crucial role in nation-building, civil engineers often face disparities in compensation and recognition compared to other engineering fields. 🌟 The Way Forward: Investment in Training and Safety: Increasing investment in safety measures and providing regular training can significantly improve working conditions. Industry Collaboration: Greater collaboration between industry stakeholders can ensure fair compensation and career growth opportunities. Public Awareness: Highlighting the vital contributions of civil engineers can foster greater appreciation and support from society. Let's take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the dedication and hard work of our civil engineers, who tirelessly build the backbone of our country. #Publication_Alert Subham Jain, along with his PhD advisors Prof. Animesh Das and Prof. K.S. Venkatesh, has recently published a research paper titled A revisit to angularity measurement for aggregates in the International Journal of Pavement Engineering. This paper proposes a new approach (based on corner point detection and its tangent space analysis) for quantitative estimation of angularity of aggregates, as an attempt to resolve some of the existing inconsistencies with the current measures of angularity. https://lnkd.in/gzuDZ2Uq Follow Transportation Engineering IIT Kanpur page to get more updates on our group. #pavement #research #publication #innovation #IITKanpur #transportation #iitk #te_iitk
