See the 5 key components when scaling Kubernetes
I am big fan of Karpenter. I co-coordinate Kubernetes Austin, and Karpenter always comes up in the chats among the practitioners - at every single meetup. One key aspect that might fly under the radar for many: Karpenter relies on the pods' vertical size to determine the node size. Last month, at KubeDay Colombia Medellin, I was happy to see Herbert G. highlight this important aspect during his talk when he mentioned both VPA and StormForge (picture). We have produced a blog post about VPA here: https://lnkd.in/gr7QM8BY And we are now offering complimentary Karpenter consultancy here: https://lnkd.in/gsCbCtJg If you are using EKS and have not taken action on Karpenter, you are leaving money on the table! DMs are open! 👊👊👊👊 And... if you are attending Kubecon US 2024 in SLC, stop by booth S27! I will be there, and we can chat!
