🚸 Back to School: What’s Inside Kids' Lunchboxes This September? 🥪🍏 As children have gone back to school, we’ve been diving into the latest trends on kids’ lunchboxes. Did you know 19% of kids' lunch occasions now feature a lunchbox? That’s up from last year, with parents now spending an average of £2.63 per box. With September marking the start of peak lunchbox season, we're seeing some unexpected changes in what kids are eating. While sandwiches remain popular, less healthy treats are making their way in – crisps have jumped by 3.3 ppt, cakes by 2.3 ppt, and chocolate biscuits by 1 ppt. And these lunches have gotten a lot more complex – 1 in 3 kids' lunchboxes now include 7 or more items! What’s driving these choices? Convenience! A whopping 18.4% of lunchbox servings are picked because they’re “easy to prepare.” For brands looking to win in this space, making parents’ lives easier is the key to success. Is your brand ready to meet the needs of busy parents this school season? #ShopperBehaviour #KidsLunchboxes #BackToSchool #FoodTrends #Convenience #ConsumerInsights
