Change can feel overwhelming, tempting us to worry about factors beyond our reach. Remember the circles: focus on your Circle of Control – the actions you can take. This empowers you, while fretting over the Circle of Concern only fuels anxiety. Influence what you can, accept what you can't. #CircleOfControl #LeadershipMindset #ChangeManagement

When you don’t like what is happening at work and how it makes you feel, you can either do what most people do, which is complain, criticize, take things personally, make assumptions, or make excuses, or you can choose inner peace and self-mastery. The decision is yours. Changing old habits and thought patterns requires a high level of awareness and commitment. #speakwithimpact #thefouragreements

How to Overcome Troublemakers: We all encounter people who seem to make it their mission to get on our nerves—whether they’re coworkers, neighbors, or even relatives. They might gossip, target, undermine you, or simply try to derail your focus. It’s easy to get caught up in their negativity, but here’s a powerful truth: you don’t have to let them steal your peace or control your actions. Do not give the control of your thermostat and let them control your temperature. Remember, you have the power to determine your own course and maintain your peace. Ignore the negative people and negativity spreaders around you. Don’t let troublemakers dictate your mood or derail your success. Stay focused on your goal, stay positive in all circumstances and keep moving forward. #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #EmotionalIntelligence #Focus #SelfCare #ProfessionalDevelopment

“Compulsions are intricate survival systems that we create because we don’t know how to be there for ourselves.” - Mary O'Malley Oooooooooooo doggey. This one gets me. When we change, one of the things we must look at is our own compulsions. You know, those things you do again and again to soothe that end up owning you. This one is a little squirmy and uncomfortable and I PROMISE there is a treasure on the other side of it. Can you get curious about what your own compulsions are? Maybe it's checking your phone, or working into the late evening night after night, or... What do you do again and again - especially in high stakes situations - to soothe yourself? Can you get curious about how those compulsions are keeping you stuck? What might happen if you could catch them next time and feel safe choosing something different? #leadership #wellbeing #mindset #personalgrowth #wellness #choosing #climateleaders

Stress isn't the enemy - it’s how we view it that makes all the difference. 💡 I recently watched Kelly McGonigal’s TED talk on how stress, when embraced, can fuel resilience, focus, and connection. Her message challenges the way we think about stress, reminding us that our mindset can transform it into a powerful ally. In a world where pressure is inevitable, this simple mindset shift has the potential to change everything. Highly recommend this talk for anyone looking to turn stress into a source of strength: https://lnkd.in/eN2tsJd7 #PersonalGrowth #MindsetMatters #Resilience #StressManagement #Leadership

Today’s reflections on the mountains focus on the power of decision-making. I can hardly express the fear and distress I felt when I decided to give up alcohol. It was agonising, but that pain was nothing compared to the relief I experienced once the decision was made. I have learned that there is no such thing as a perfect decision. Ultimately, it’s about what is best for you, the people you love, and what feels right for your situation. Perhaps there’s a decision you’ve been avoiding, ignoring, or dreading. What would it be like to free yourself and finally make that decision? #decisionmaking #decisiveness #choosewell #strategicthinking #mindsetmatters #criticalthinking #betterme #selfdevelopment

We all have specific triggers that catapult us from feeling calm and content to frustrated or angry. Think about what these are for you. Here are some ideas: · Being in conflict and feeling taken advantage of · Being criticised and others' lack of follow-through · Being taken for granted and not being heard or excluded · Being set up for failure and not receiving credit for work done · Being ignored, overwhelmed or surprised · Being under external pressure and another's lack of commitment · Being confined and restricted and not being taken seriously · Being controlled and being blindsided The more you can make the invisible triggers visible, the more you can self-correct, prepare yourself for certain situations and notice when you have been triggered so you can insert a mental pause button to respond mindfully and not react regretfully. It's one thing to reflect on a past experience, but the damage is already done. The true superpower is catching yourself in the present moment so you can choose your response in real-time.
