South Korea establishes a diplomatic relationship with Cuba. What foreign policy message could the current South Korean government (in an antagonistic relationship with North Korea) potentially signal from this diplomatic decision? "Today's South Korean foreign policy is motivated not by ideological hostility but by pragmatic security concerns. South Korea does not oppose communist states, but rather oppose rogue regimes like that of Kim Jung-un, which threaten the security of other countries". During the 2022 presidential election, Yoon expressed support for the ideological slogan "Annihilate Communism" as a candidate. But as Yoon's Government prepares for the upcoming South Korean National Assembly Election, it appears to advocate more "post-ideology" politics. Perhaps Yoon's government could then consider a similar message in its foreign policy. https://lnkd.in/epTPwfE9
