Stealth changes on Empty rates rule changes from 01 Apr 2024.... Look out for our forthcoming short video on the little known changes announced by Jeremy Hunt's team on budget day. Our number 1 prediction by our Jan 24 panel event was pretty spot-on. We are already seeing the signs that some agents are burying their heads in the sand and underplaying the net impact on landlords and from this change in England. The net saving is dropping by a quarter which cements the case that ethical empty rates mitigation, by helping the charity sector, is the last best way and carries the favour of political and public sentiment. Today, the American Association of Municipal Executives reached 300 founding members and is already cruising towards 400. On Monday, we had hit 200 members. Founders are excited and can't wait to get started building this organization. AAME members want to be connected. They want to contribute to something that is greater than themselves.
