Joseph Maina Kinyua’s Post

Great minds and untapped talent abound. It's a reality that many employers prioritize credentials over what an individual can achieve. It's disheartening that technicians with unparalleled skills are overlooked. I remember the days when we had our rudimentary methods for troubleshooting. We would use tongues and saliva to test for continuity. We could modify VHF televisions to receive UHF signals, and even fashion UHF antennas from curtain rods, among other things. We've witnessed the transition from valve components to semiconductors, and now to surface-mount technology. Employers, I challenge you to consider the informal technician and observe the difference.
