We are discussing the Higher education without touching the baseline of Higher education, that is School , college, culture and society. Must sync all together to reach in this success ladder. I sincerely propose a strategic plan and training of to be Vice chancellors, as a leadership development candidate, like NDU, NIPA and other Academies, NAHE is not fulfilling it's purpose, nor the Council's, the Heads of Councils and core team is far away from their vision mission and need of the Industry, academia, society and governance, Culture is covering all and missing badly in discussion. What we are producing is not matching what's required. An educational governance policy framework to be established for all levels.

The Wallace Foundation has found effective principals perform five key practices well: 1. Shaping a vision of academic success for all students 2. Creating a climate hospitable to education 3. Cultivating leadership in others 4. Improving instruction 5. Managing people, data, and processes to foster school improvement. Each of these practices feed into a key leadership role at the school system level. This is why the principalship is SO important and it’s essential districts provide adequate support for principals to be effective in their work.

According to the National Center for Education statistics, while Texas has a larger percentage of Latino/as leading schools than at the national level, the percentage of Latino/a serving as school principals is still significantly lower than the percentage of Latino/a students in our schools. When we consider Latina school leaders in particular, research reported in the article, Marianismo and the changing role of Latinas in educational leadership, shows a "lack of affirmation, support, and mentorship which leads to the development of both conscious and unconscious self-doubt and imposter syndrome." The goal of our Suficiente: New Educational Leader Development Series is not only to support Latinas as they recognize and embrace their excellence, so imposter syndrome is silenced, but also, to equip our participants with the skills they need to succeed in their roles, when mentorship and development are not provided. With a job as multi-dimensional as school principal, it can be hard to determine whether principals are effectively performing the skills, duties, and behaviors that enhance student learning the most. As explained in a recent article published by the Wallace Foundation, there are four behaviors that the most effective principals emphasize in their practice. 1. Focusing on instructional leadership when working with teachers 2. Building a productive school climate 3. Forging collaboration and professional learning among teachers and staff 4. Effectively managing personnel and school resources Although these behaviors can be difficult to measure, the Resonant Education administered VAL-Ed survey is a helpful tool that can be used to assess principal performance of the four behaviors listed above and determine principal overall effectiveness from the perspective of teachers, supervisors, and principals themselves.
