Day 2/12 on the approach to Christmas highlighting innovation and achievement in #MedicalImaging! AIRS Medical, founded in South Korea in 2018 by long time friends Jingu Lee, Hye-seong Lee, Jingyu Go, Lee Doohee, Geunu Jeong, Jaeyeon Yoon and Yoonmyung Kim with the shared vision to tranform healthcare through AI and robotics. Today, SwiftMR is a deep learning based product that enhances the quality of MR images. The product is FDA 501(k) cleared, CE mark Certified, MFDS approved and PMDA certified. They have raised a total of $44.5M over 3 rounds and from multiple investors : BSK Investment, Shinyoung Securities Co., LTD., Q CAPITAL PARTNERS, HANWHA LIFE CO., LTD., 끌림벤처스 Klim Ventures. With the latest round of $20M at Series C in July 2024. I had the pleasure of catching up with Jayden at #RSNA24, Managing Director & VP for Europe. In the year since I first met Jayden at #RSNA23, the company has come on so far in terms of adoption and scaling. I have been shocked by their very speedy rise and Jayden mirrored that they had never anticipated such growth so soon! 👦💡 Proud dad moment! My 6-year-old son Yannic is diving into our Unicorn Sphero package, controlled by a BCI! 🧠 With the Unicorn Speller, he directs the robot using only his brain. His reaction? "Did I do this just with my brain?" 🥰 It's not easy to impress a 6-year-old, but BCI did the trick! To explore how APAC can lead this transformation, we partnered with APACMed, with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board to conduct a study with more than 20 industry leaders from the healthcare and medtech ecosystem. The findings reveal AI’s growing influence across the medtech value chain, the skills needed to sustain this growth, and the importance of trade associations and strategic partnerships in accelerating progress.
