A Collaborative Approach to Fixing BC’s Healthcare System: Action required from Everyone please! The recent formation of a coalition of BC mayors focused on addressing the ongoing ER closures is a welcome step toward finding real solutions to the province's healthcare challenges. Fixing the healthcare system requires involvement from all stakeholders—local leaders, healthcare professionals, and government officials—and it's wonderful to see the mayors stepping up to help with the logistics and healthcare needs in their regions. This kind of collaboration is exactly what’s needed to tackle the complexity of healthcare issues. We know what many of the problems are, and we need to find actionable solutions that work for all communities. We need all hands on deck from all levels of government and the community to make real progress. The commitment from mayors to create a unified front for healthcare in their regions is a promising sign that, with collective effort, we can make significant improvements for the well-being of our communities. ER closures are dangerous and I'm glad to see that big changes are being made. #HealthcareCollaboration #RuralHealth #BCHospitals #CommunityLeadership #HealthcareSolutions #EmergencyCare #BCMayors #Teamwork #HealthEquity #LocalLeadership #BetterHealthcare

🏥📡 We are pleased to share the recently opened Tweed Valley Hospital is equipped with Public Safety Network coverage through In-Building Coverage (IBC). This ensures first responders have access to uninterrupted emergency radio communications once inside the major hospital’s emergency department. Reliable network coverage is paramount when a paramedic, for example, is in a building or tunnel attending a call out and needs to transmit critical information about the patient or their location. The IBC integration at Tweed Valley Hospital ensures our emergency services and more than 60 essential services stay connected while helping northern NSW communities remain safe. The IBC fit out is part of the $723.3m state-of-the-art hospital development, the largest capital health investment in the NSW North Coast region in the state’s history. ER Closures are Putting Lives at Risk Another long weekend has passed with no Emergency Room coverage in many Interior Health communities. This is not acceptable. The NDP government has allowed our healthcare system to reach crisis levels over their 7 years in office, and the problem worsens yearly. As winter approaches, we all know the roads will be dangerous. Having to travel long distances for emergency care is not okay. Our families deserve better. Under our Patients First policy, the Conservative Party of BC will focus on keeping ERs open, ensuring that healthcare is accessible for all, and putting patients—not bureaucrats—at the system's centre. It’s time for a government that delivers on healthcare. Let’s bring common sense back to BC. #VoteDonegalWilson #PatientsFirst #ERClosures #HealthcareCrisis #CommonSenseBC

Canadian emergency departments are still facing significant challenges years after the pandemic. Waiting times remain stubbornly high, and gaps in data collection make it difficult to assess performance across the country. As highlighted in a recent *Globe and Mail* analysis, provinces like New Brunswick and Newfoundland don't provide detailed ED metrics, raising concerns about accountability in healthcare spending. It's clear that better data is crucial to improving transparency and patient outcomes. #Healthcare #DataTransparency #EmergencyCare #Canada #PatientOutcomes

Have your say on urgent care services across Lancashire and South Cumbria. Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) wants to hear your views about urgent care. Please take part in a short survey to help make sure those services are fit for the future. *Urgent care* involves any non-life-threatening illness or injury needing urgent attention, whether that's in hospital or outside. It is different to *emergency care*, which involves life-threatening illnesses or accidents which require immediate treatment from the ambulance service (via 999) and a hospital emergency department (often referred to as A&E). For this survey, the ICB would like to know your opinions about urgent care only. You can take part in the survey at https://lnkd.in/eZqx_x2b It runs until Sunday, November 10th. #UrgentCare #EmergencyCare

It is only one person's opinion, but is he right? that Ontario can't fix its healthcare problem? You read a lot of different articles and watch a lot of videos about the province's hospitals and healthcare, their plans, strategic intent, and healthcare blueprints and the announcements and promises they make, you find that some stakeholders are opposed to proposed new implemented healthcare plans, it goes against the very nature of universal healthcare, and some question the ability to fix or change the current situation. This person's opinion is that it will get worse, not better. But that is his opinion. You search for more opinions and research.
