We want to get clients who WANT to work with us. Who are ready to buy from us and happy to pay for what we have to offer 🧡 This morning I had a conversation with another Coach about making a sustainable income and I said “We need to find the clients who like to buy from us and then just find more of those.” And she said “But how do I know that they like to buy from me?” And my answer to that is: Because they do 🤷🏻♀️ Without having to convince them. Without having to run after them. Because they already know that they want to work with us and so they make that decision quickly 💥 These clients see the value of what we have to offer and they get the exact results that they promise. This is something we can replicate. Not just because they will naturally start to recommend us 😌 But because we understand our own “product market fit” (In this case, it’s our services, our offer, that is the product) 💡 I see so many Coaches and other Freelancers posting a bunch of stuff, doing all the work, putting money in Ads, but they are not clear on what value they provide to whom. Sales Incest. The Doom Loop for Most Freelancers and Small Business Owners. - Jane becomes a business owner. Shiny logo, website, pops champagne. - Jane dreads the idea of selling. -Half-heartedly inhales outdated sales training from the 1980's. - Tops up her training routine by binge-watching some videos of Grant Cardone, Wolf of Wall Street and Boiler Room highlights on youtube. - Jane joins a “business group” with other business owners struggling with selling. - Once a week for 2 hours they whine and moan and share bad sales sh*t that doesn’t work. - They all get together over coffee the following week and talk about how bad it all went. - It’s called “Sales Incest” and the more you do it the uglier it becomes. - Jane throws in the towel and gets a “real job”, blaming the economy for her downfall. #unselling

If someone is actively looking for a solution right now, why on earth would you wait months to follow up? 🔥 Time kills deals, my friends. That’s why I believe in following up within 2-3 days max to stay on their radar while they’re still thinking about you. Here’s what I do to follow up effectively: 💡 1. Personalize your message: Use the prospect’s name, remind them of the context of your connection, and mention something specific from your initial conversation. This makes the follow-up feel genuine and not automated. 💡 2. Create urgency: "I kept my schedule open to match the pace your business needs." This subtly tells them that your time is valuable, and they need to act quickly. 💡 3. Address objections upfront: Ask them if anything is holding them back. This opens the door for further discussion and keeps you from being ghosted. 💡 4. Set clear next steps: Whether it’s scheduling a call or closing the deal, always give them a path forward. Result?
